I got the Sahara case off amazon. Its a little bulky but its as close to the old cases Otterbox use to make for the Samsung tablets as you can get.

It has a built in stand that lets you have it in portrait or landscape as well. I paid $55 for it in Nov 24.

As are ALL accessories for any of the name brand devices, Google, Samsung, Apple, and many other. This is not noteworthy..

Finding a case with infinite adjustable angle that is sturdy is not common. The best was for S8 series rugged which was both elegant, sturdy and practical. I have this version and wish the plastic was higher quality feeling. It's definitely sturdy. I would have tried the spigen but it's only available for Ultra size, so it's definitely a contender

The adjustable arm in both the vertical and horizontal positions as well as the quality construction makes this a fantastic case. Not cheap, but has excellent form factor

best buy review says it doesn't do portrait. i saw an ultra 9 case on aliexpress that did portrait using an origami folding front cover, but it's no longer available unfortunately.

[edit] video review shows it working in portrait mode but not sure how stable that would be with the ultra.

I switched from an S7 to the S9+ just so I could use this case. No regrets. It functions beautifully and does work in portrait and landscape modes. Portrait isn't super steady but I haven't had any real issues with it on a flat surface. This case is a game changer, IMO...makes it very easy to casually use the tablet anywhere, especially with the IP rating of the tablet. I use a separate Bluetooth keyboard with this and have it in portrait mode for regular use.

$20 for a screen protector?! More like $7 max. Unless you work on a construction site , most devices don't need protectors anymore. Glad has improved a lot and a tablet usually doesn't get the wear and tear of a mobile phone. Enjoy the feeling being unprotected for once! I know so many who still do. And they are the ones who upgrade every year...what's the pin
