Am I missing something? Can someone tell me how to compare Costco prices or find good deals on basic items?
An HVAC guy told me, ac compressors don't get the flu or allergy problems.

I agree that Costco is not great for groceries. But a few things I've found are worth it:
Seltzer
Pet food
OTC store-brand medicine (lactaid, allergy meds)
Eggs
Protein bars/breakfast bars
Storage stuff (totes, shelves)
Kirkland signature trash bags
And occasionally sales on cleaning products such as laundry detergent/dish detergent are much better than waiting for a sale at Target, for example.
Yeah, that's about all I buy there. Their food court, alcohol, and pharmacy don't require a membership so I'm not counting those.
Edit: Food court evidently now requires the membership and alcohol sales requiring a membership depends on the state you're in.
