True, but without this you pay more, that's the whole point. Not everyone can go out to restaurants based on weather and commute availability.

Unless you value your time at $10 an hour it's cost effective to just have it delivered. Math is more favorable if you're at home and would need to drive there. If you're out and about it's a toss up which is better value but my experience is that a lot of the time orders aren't ready or there's a lot of unforeseen things that waste time. Having the food delivered to your door removes all of them.
How you value your time is one piece of it, the other is whether you actually somewhat enjoy getting out of the house to pick up your food. In which case it doesn't make sense to value the time the same as working hours.

It's not inherently a slog/unenjoyable thing for everyone - you take a ride, get some air, some human interaction, and usually the restaurants are pretty nice inside. Of course if you're busy and have a lot going on or tired, etc. delivery can make more sense.

I'd like to get plastic gift cards for gifts. Can anybody report on whether the $74.99 is valid at the store for plastic cards?

I signed up for uber and they gave me $25 off first two delivery orders.

Also got a punch card for 4 orders of $25+ to get $20 in uber cash. Right now I'm on 2/4 on it. Does anyone know if pickup orders of $25+ work to complete these punch cards? Also, is the $25 minimum after promo price, or is there a way to spend less, with BOGO deals for example?

They also gave me another punchcard after signing up for a free month of uber one. I'm 1/4 on it. IT doesn't mention min amount just says "4 eligible orders". Can I do like small pick up orders to complete this one? $10 credit after 4 orders and then $10 when uber one renews for next month.

Based on similar past promotions, can someone confirm if the same discount applies for in-store purchases as well?
Tried to buy in-store today and was denied.

Last purchase online was 1/29 so I guess the limit applies in store also.

Did the transaction not go through? Several people mentioned that they were able to get a bunch, in multiple separate transactions.

It is rarely cost-effective to have your food or anything delivered from Uber Eats. While not every restaurant does, the majority of them by me (big city) mark up every item $2 to $5 in addition to the BS fees Uber Eats charges on top of it. The only time I use it is when they have a 40% off code and then I'll pick a restaurant thats a bit of a drive and it might break even after 40%. If you are ordering food from places that are a 5-10 minute drive, you are just lazy and definitely not cost effective.

Did you do this at self-check or regular checker?
I don't have Costco so I have friends get them online and in store. When I went with a friend she used self-check and a cashier had to come enter a code. A few days prior she got me some online so figured that's why it was flagged. If I could buy multiples I would get a membership for that alone.

They don't usually allow gift card purchases in the self-check line since they need to be activated. I just bought two and had to go over to the normal check-out line when I was stopped in self-checkin.

Yes, and rather than make a car payment, they would rather take Uber or get Uber Eats delivered 3-4 times a week and those add-on fees would more than make up a car payment over a month. We have people in another office in our building that orders food from Wawa which is literally two doors down. I walk there for lunch. Sorry that is just lazy.

I've ordered these before and have been using Uber/Uber Eats for YEARS. Loaded 4 new cards into my account and after one order, I'm suddenly getting a message saying they can't process my order and to refer to in-app help. Come to find out Uber has the absolute worst CS as the only option you have is to chat with reps that "do their best" to get back to you in 6-12 hours with generic info like restarting your phone.
After a week or so of going back and forth with support, they're now saying I should review their T&Cs and that they will no longer help me. WHAT?!
So they've basically just stolen my money. I'm not really sure what to do in this case as Costco is the charge for this order on my credit card and they did no wrong.
