Split it in the app. When you go to pay there's two options at the top. The first says "Full Bill" and is highlighted in blue. You want to select "Split Bill". It'll add a box below it saying bill portion and you type in the pre-coupon total, $50 in this case.

No, sadly.

I typically will split the bill with myself though, first paying $50 using the coupon and $25 from my balance, and then the rest of the bill on a second pass with my expiring cash back.

It ends up being a pretty good deal. You get to use the gift card for food and beverages and don't have to use it up in one visit per se. Taxes and gratuity you pay separately. InKind will often send an additional coupon (I usually get one once a month) which when stacked makes it an even better deal. You just have to cross check the restaurant reviews. Some are just okay and some have been excellent! We just went to a French place in D.C. that was phenomenal! Haven't had that amazing of a meal in a long time.
Fyi unless it's different in your area taxes can be paid with the balance. It's only tip that can't be paid from the gift cards.

As the resident inKind expert (lol) let me know if you guys have further questions about the app.

I'm in Austin and have dined at like half the restaurnts on inKind so can give you recommendations to. I've made friends with a bartender from these visits and he's now at The Guest House which is my favorite inKind spot for now. Way ovepriced food but it's all delicious and with the inKind discounts it's decent. Runners up are Top Roe, OKO, and TenTen (only for their happy hour).

Not a fan of Ember? It's probably my fave. Also liked TenTen and Guest House.
Have you tried Underdog? Still on my to try list.

Guys, I referred someone (my wife lol) and got the $50 cashback reward… is there any restrictions on how it can be used? Can it be combined with other coupons?

I guess this might be a good time to refer a friend or refer a spouse/partner as they are providing 50$ for referral and also giving 25$ off 50$ for the referred. I am in Bay Area and I have few coffee shops and restaurants here which are normally expensive but with these deals and referrals make them a slick deal. Additionally you can also transfer a balance from one account to another if you want to share and pay through friends account. Let me know if you have any questions as I have used them multiple times over the last 2 years.

They've cut back on some of the promos they used to offer. For example, a lot of the restaurants used to let you opt in to a discount as a first time cover of the restaurant through inkind. They no longer offer that. The only worthwhile perk is to get a referral from existing users to get $25 off $50.

If you neglect to use your account for a while, they may email you a survey that gives you $15 off $15 that's good for a month. There's also a birthday promo but I don't remember what the offer was.

Regardless, if you live in an area with good restaurant options, this is still a great deal. Just not a crazy steal like months prior. Don't sign up without a referral though. You can stack the $25 off $50 referral with the use of the gift cards offered in this deal. Same cannot be said of the cash back perks earned

My problem with this app is that I sometimes can't get the app to work when it's time to pay the bill. I've stopped buying these for that reason.

Are you guys simply using the gift cards loaded on the app to save essentially 40% on your bill? Or are you using the subscription as well, which appears to be $9.99 a month, in order to get back the 20% in rewards cash? If so, can you use both cashback and GC balance to pay the bill? I'm guessing maybe using the split bill method above could be used to accomplish that. Is the subscription otherwise worth it?

Nothing by me worth going regardless of the amount of discount.

Wow, I never knew there were so many CPK's by me. It's like 3/4 of what I see in my area Big Grin

Cannot use both gift card credit and cash back balance in one transaction without splitting the bill

I did really like Ember. Not sure why I didn't return to be honest but I guess it's the vibe/location I didn't like.

I think I went to Underdog once but don't remember it super well. I'm sure it was fine but nothing that encouraged me to go back.

The pizza place Dovetail was rad but I think they quit Inkind.
