would help if a TLDR was provided instead of a 10 min video, but thank you for the effort

tldr: is basically the worst 4060 laptop, that it's performance is on par with the 4050 in most benchmarks

with that being said, good luck finding a 4050 or 4060 at this price point.

still a very good buy imo

Without watching the video, my guess is the GPU is starved for power. GPU TDP (power) is just as important as model number. Look for a GPU with TDP over 100W if you want the best gaming performance. The 4060 is fed 140W in high performing laptops.

Without watching the video, my guess is the GPU is starved for power. GPU TDP (power) is just as important as model number. Look for a GPU with TDP over 100W if you want the best gaming performance. The 4060 is fed 140W in high performing laptops.

So this one better than the hp victus from wally world in performance on paper.

They both have a 75 watt tdp for the GPU.

Still a good value at this price I guess, and you get extra 2GB VRAM compared to 4050.

I'm more concerned about Acer build quality. All my friends' Acer gaming laptops broke one way or another, mostly on the screen part (albeit they're all pre-2020 models, not sure about Acer quality at the moment.)

BUYER BEWARE!!!! I bought a similar model Acer laptop and had problems almost immediately. I contacted Acer for help and received NONE, I will never purchase another Acer. Probably a good boat anchor if you don't attach a rope to it.

There is 99$ price difference between this and 2070. And 20% upgrade in performance. Still a nice price point. I was hoping to upgrade this for my msi leopard gfsk.

I can vouch that Acer quality is bad. It will work like a tank for short amount of time. Then it will give up.

Just for reference, the 4060 in my Dell G15 pulls up to 140W as long as the cooling can keep up.

Critical with this kind of laptop is one of those laptop fan coolers from Amazon for like $20. That will keep the laptop fans from having to run and throttling the card.
