Perhaps your phone is just awful? The hue app is pretty rock solid
The Android app, last updated on December 18, works great on my Pixel 9 Pro. I think the problem is you/your phone, not the app. 🤷
Can you elaborate or do you have a link documenting this? I have the latest app version running on a new iPhone and I've never had a single issue.

How's the price on this? Is this something best for under cabinet lighting? Or what is ideal use case here?

The app does not work, it's not updated and most new phones will not allow installation, if installed it keeps crashing. If only okay if you can use this without app

Same here, I don't have these particular Philip lights, but I have colored Phillips recessed light bulbs, and I can't say enough good things about them or the app.

I'm a Hue collector. The app is fine, personally I think the UI should be improved, but it is good as it is. The Lightstrips are the least of the Hue ecosystem. Only get these if you want something that coordinates with you existing Hue setup.

Yeah hue works great, I have probably close to 50 in my house and will be pushing the bridge capacity. No issue and support hue. It does work for under cabinet lighting but like any led you want something to block or diffuse the light, make sure the led isn't visible to you

No idea what that poster is talking about as far as the app goes. Have had Hue for years now and not once have I had experiences where the app crashes or isn't updated.

Looking on the iOS App Store, it was updated six times in the last month. I am not counting the entire update history, but there are at least 20 updates in the last 10 months.

It's why I stick with Hue, their hardware has been solid, as has their software. We bought a few things Govee and the hardware seems fine, but their app was not amazing. Maybe fine for the price difference for some, but I like something that is consistently solid and will pay a bit more for it.

Wow - if I may ask, in that sizable collection are you using hdmi sync box?
Is there a strict limit to how many lights can sync at once say to the tv, I have read 10 but wanted to know if anyone has ever breeched that limit?
Thanks
