Seems like a decent deal! I'm in the market for a barrel grip jigsaw and had settled on the bosch 18v for 99 bucks but I'm also in the market for dewalt batteries. Should I hold off for like powerstacks or something?

The biggest con for barrel grip is not being able to control speed easily, speed dial is not 1 hand useable

Can anyone speak to this drill? This price seems solid. I recently bought into the DeWalt system (my third such system — thanks SD). This drill is designed pretty differently and wanted to get your take if you own it.

I recently got a DeWalt barrel handle thinking it would be superior. Absolutely not. The barrel is too large, it's not easy to hold. The speed control not on the trigger is awful. The length is unwieldy and creates issues when cutting pieces in place. The extra height of a D handle is rarely an issue.

After using it a bit, I can't see any pro. Mystery to me how DeWalt thinks otherwise. This isn't a worm drive circular saw type issue where a D handle suffers from something this design solves.
