I got the digital one for 100. So 50 sounds right for this one.

According to the Q&A, it comes in a tray rather than a case.

$200 is way inflated. But $50 for a 250-lb torque wrench is pretty good. A lot of 1/2" click-style wrenches only go up to 150 pounds.

Digital is nice as long as it's kept in a way to not break. They sell weight sensor ICs with mtbf statistics in the millions and are quite reliable as delivered. It's the substrate on which they're placed that determines their reliability. Until broken, a digital wrench is far superior, however for longevity (20 years etc) a quality brand dial-in will always be better. My go to at home is a quality gedore.

How accurate is this torque wrench?
They're not all very accurate - avoid the Harbor Freight ones. I'm not sure what people say about Kobalt.

I use this torque wrench (same specs) for torquing the lug nuts on my car. Mine requires about 80 ft/lbs tightening. Also use it for other nuts around the car as well such as the suspension or engine bay.

This should work for most cars. I've read that these tend to be most accurate in the middle of the specified range and less so at the extreme ends. So for most cars requiring 100-150 ft-lbs, this will work well.
I know both of my cars call for 148 ft-lbs, so trying to use a 50-150 torque wrench would be less than ideal.

I went to store. In store regular price was $95 which seems more appropriate.

I went ahead and bought this one. I don't use them much and my selling point was the extra length. I have a 150# cheapo wrench and recently I was torquing my 2 post floor lift down. The short handle made that a very labor intensive workout. This one is easily 10" longer than the cheapo i currently have. You would need that extra leverage anyway if you were torquing to 250#.

Also I have some new ARP heads to bolt down on my ford 347. I figured a new torque wrench might be better than my old harbor freight one.

The husky one sells for $60 regularly and comes with case: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../205914009.

When it comes to handling warranty, I generally prefer HD over lowes. They are not easy as HF but at least they don't suck like lowes - manager at 2 lowes near me are horribly incompetent and are generally pissed off most of the times.

My new car's lug nuts require 162 ft/lbs, which sounds insanely high to me, but its in the manual. Picking up one of these since my 1/2" torque wrench tops out at 150.

I have Harbor Freight's "Icon" brand torque wrenches, and they've been excellent. As good or better than my Tekton torque wrenches.
Are you referring to HF's cheap Pittsburgh brand torque wrenches?
