As someone in the maple syrup industry, all syrup is organic, we don't put additives in, it's just boiled down sap. The only difference is that someone paid to be certified

Note, this is grade A dark vs. Costco which is grade A amber. Dark has a stronger maple flavor. In for 1, thanks.

I looked this up some time ago. I think there's an additive that's used in the production process to keep the sap from getting too foamy. Pretty sure it's nothing concerning.

Agreed, I think the darker stuff is worth the small premium. They used to call it "grade B" even though it's arguably better.
