Bomgaars has this for 79.99 if that store is local to you.
I was successful getting Home Depot to price match the 79.99 against them even though they are not local to me at all.
Just FYI

And I just price matched with Lowes even though I'm in CA and the nearest Bomgaars is in IdaHoe. Also free shipping from lowes

Maybe a difficult question but any idea how long this would take to inflate a tire from 20 psi to 35 psi (2012 chevy suburban if it matters)

I currently have one of those those you plug into the 12v outlet and it takes about 4-5 min per tire, I don't mind it and it's worked flawlessly for a few years now but just curious if this would be quicker
The dewalt is nice, cause you can run it off their 5ah batteries or plug it into the cig lighter. Bonus: it cuts off after you turn dial to how much air you want, so you dont haves baby sit.

Great tool (2 tools in one, really). I use mine all the time. THIS IS NOT A GOOD DEAL, though. $75-$79 is a good deal.

Mine did break, however. The tire inflator prt doesn't work but the high volume side does. Inter webs say a capacitor or something is bad.

Call Dewalt & have them send you a new one under factory warranty.

Are we really comparing this price (decent though it may be) to a probably-never-actually-experienced 'list' price? Come on…

Yes, we are. It's called "anchor pricing" in marketing. They count on consumer's not having time or interest in fact checking price. So the brain sees the markup price & sees a line through it with lower price next to it & Bam!! Your brain says that looks like good deal buy it.

That's what I learned at University after spending 50k for 4 years. College is overated. Save your money & spend it on trade school for 20k is slick deal indeed.

Like others have said, this one probably won't be any faster. But the fact it is cordless is quite the game changer. I used to have a 12v inflator like you then moved to this since I already have dewalt power tools. I used this pump to inflate three cars, 12 tires total and it ran like a champ. Granted I had to use two batteries (2x1.5ah) to get through all of them, but it never stopped otherwise. It didn't even get hot.

These ebay units are Type 1, seems like a previous thread said the Type 2 is the later model and has a better compressor.

HD and Lowe's chat reps refused for me, are you doing it in person?
I was able to price match in person at customer service.

That's true but for occasional use Type I is fine. If you are going to run this thing constantly (more than 10 minutes at a time) then you'll want Type 2.
I have a Type I, was considering swapping it to a Type 2, but for my use case there's not much benefit.

I've been using one of these for years and it works great. Takes about 5 minutes per tire for me to put in 10psi (literally just had to top off all my tires due to the freeze). My 5Ah dewalt battery runs this well, I get all 4 tires filled with some Ah leftover. I've never used any other ecosystem, but I have zerl complaints about the Dewalt.

you have 17" or 20" wheels?

I have the dewalt compressor for my 18" (245/60R18) ford explorer. I just put 13psi into one tire that has a slow leak... took about 3min with a fully charged 2Ah battery. Other tires were down a couple psi.. didn't take long, maybe 30sec? I wasn't timing.. just did it a few days ago, so from memory.

If you want fast, get a M18 Milwaukee.

Project farm did a fairly recent review of a bunch of options.. very good info.

Oh, regarding your current 12v pump. If you haven't had engine running while inflating, do so. The pump will run noticeably faster... 12+ vs 14+volts

check min mark 7:21 for speed comparison.
30-36psi
18 secs Milwaukee
64 secs Dewalt

No, it's online chat. You just have try a diff store or try contact them in evening when they don't care as much about policy.
I don't see this dewalt air compressor on Bomgaar site anymore. Am I missing something?
