this is not a "standard" aspect ratio, it is an ultrawide monitor. with the PS5, I believe your image will be stretched unless you change the resolution of the monitor.

I have the Alienware (AW3423DWF) version of this monitor (same panel) and it has a "Console Mode" that changes the output to 4K but you do get black bars on each side of the screen. if I were you, I'd look into the Alienware instead of this Samsung unless you're able to find out if there is such a similar mode designed for gaming consoles instead of PCs.

No, you will have uneven OLED wear due to miss matched aspect ratio

This is so much of a better deal than the Onn 49" garbage posted earlier. This is 21:9 ultrawide in 2K. This is way better than 32:9, which is very seldom supported by any game. If the purpose is PC games, buy this.

I have the equivalent 34" MSI monitor the MSI MEG 342C QD-OLED. The PS5 OS is stretched but games like call of duty and GTA 5 are amazing since I max out the FOV, it looks normal. I can't speak for other games in terms of how they'll look.

Get a 4K 16:9 display, do not get anything else.

They need to make a 4k OLED 21:9 monitor. I heard sometime this year. This monitor will be dated when that happens.

I'd bite at $300 but for $640 I expect it to be 4K at this point

Will any graphics card other than an RTX 5090 work for a 4K ultrawide? I'm on a 4070 Super and can't get stable 60 fps on 4K cyberpunk 2077 without compromises. 2K ultrawide is a sweet spot for gaming right now.

There's always going to be something faster or better in the future but your living now and right now 1440 is the sweet spot and most gamers that try 21:9 never go back to 16:9 on PC.

I bought this monitor from Samsung directly after great discounts were applied it cost 499.99 the middle of Nov24 and yes I read some bad reviews about getting it to wake up. Happily that was not the case for me it has worked flawlessly and the image is the best I've ever seen. Being that I already owned a 65" Samsung S90C OLED made it very easy to adjust the settings on this monitor with the included REMOTE vs having to find and toggle little buttons under a monitor that you cant see. Yes I only bought it because of the price but within a day I was glad I bought this vs the Alienware 34" because of the Remote. The panels are the same QD-OLED 175hz . I'm using a 4070ti Super to game on it.
Any monitor can have problems at any time so buy well Known top tier brands.

Been going on sale for around this price for ages. If they wanna move them that bad then it should be $500 or less at this point.
