This is decent but not great for the early shoulder season. Don't forget $200 extra if you want a decent seat, checked bag, and free changes (and now you're almost at Tokyo RT prices!)

This about the same we've paid from BHM and ATL for 3 years in a row to London, Milan/Venice, and Barcelona/Madrid.

Protip is to be sure to search for open-jaw options so you don't have to stick to Paris. Test out other RT fares and then go back to "multi city" to book. The results are almost always halfway between the two prices.

Avoid expedia, had worst experience with their cs getting a refund for cancelled hotel reservations. Cs don't even look at what's in the refund policy. Had to file a dispute with the bank.

Purely anecdotal. For example, I dealt with Expedia CS at least 6x last year and they were of tremendous help. However, the airlines.... not so much. 😂

Since this is AA, in theory, same price should be available direct.

underrated comment.

going on an international trip likely for at least a week, and not having a checked bag. Especially if bringing the wife/gf lol.

automatically add $100 EACH way for that check bag

Dallas airport. Never again if I can help it. Must be the worst run airport in the US.

I fly out of DFW as it is my base airport. I don't think I've ever had a problem specifically with the airport in my life. If I had anything to complain about it is the construction around the airport that is always going on.

I second this, my experience with Hotels.com, but they are the same company. Booked a 3 night stay in Rome and the place was nothing like the pictures, loud, dirty, and Broken AC. Walked in the room and walked right back to the desk. They had no other rooms and refused to let me cancel. Hotels.com told me they would escalate my request and get me in a new hotel. 4 hours later they called back saying that the hotel wouldn't let them cancel so there was nothing they could do. I went and booked my own room elsewhere at last second prices. Two weeks of back and forth refusals with hotels.com and I was forced to file a chargeback through Amex. Make sure you use a good card if you use Expedia. If you read their T&C, they offer zero protections. I would have been eating the cost of that hotel if it weren't for Amex.

American is the worse airlines to fly with, basic economy is even worse then a spirit flight. Combine that with Expedia, you are in for a real ride to loose your money.

Maybe he's talking about Love Field. I live in Dallas and fly a lot and DFW is absolutely the best run and most efficient large airport in the country.

He's not talking about Love. DFW is fine for domestic/business travel. But international arrivals are terrible and if you check a bag it takes *forever* to get it
