This is the LASER distance measure that I personally use, I really like the lithium-Ion battery, it's 1.0 Ah. It charges by USB C 5.0v only. If you wish you can put 2 AA batteries into it.

I like the fact that this has auto screen rotation so no matter which way you measure the screen rotates as well. Mine has the measured angle with each scan so that you'll know if your level or not when scanned.

You can also scan on the fly so that you can get constant measurements, I like this because you can exclude any extraneous measurements encountered, just ignore them.

That is not the same, that's the Model #GLM165-27CG model, this is the GL model. You'll have to look at the reference chart but there are a few differences that made me decide to eventually get this model the GL model instead. I think that it's much better. I'm not sure but I think the GC model is listed as having auto screen rotation but it does not, according to one of their reviewers, it's a known issue but has not been resolved.

Also the deal at Lowes has already expired.

I hope this helps somebody else.

Though expired, I think the Lowe's reference was the GLM165-27CG + free lithium battery, essentially making is the same as the GLM165-27CGL (L is for lithium).
