Mildly related: if you got 6 months free AMC+ from Verizon for Snowpiercer (the TV series), they took away it being free and will be charging everyone starting the 16th.

6/10 - overall good movie. Kind of farfetched concept. Debating on purchasing this at $5.

Amazon [amazon.com] has it in Digital HD for $4.99 too. If you don't mind the quality difference and have Prime No Rush [amazon.com] to burn.

LOL, I know right. As opposed to building the most convoluted train ever.....why not just design a similar "engine" that ran endlessly in circles underground (if it actually demanded constant motion)? Below the surface of the earth would still be warm even during a ice age and there would be little space constraints. This movie's concept and Mortal Engines made zero sense even if suspending all belief.

But the movie actually turned out pretty solid regardless, the TV show was decent too.

Next thing you're going to tell me is Star Wars is farfetched too?

It's a commentary on society, not a speculative technology documentary.

It's Willy Wonka on a train.... without delicious chocolate and more fighting.

This movie is based on the 1980's French graphic novel 'Le Transperceneige,' but it takes place on a different train than the one featured in the comic. I believe the last episode of the graphic novel even mentions the survivors from this film.

Seen it, bizarre, but not one I need to watch again. And I don't think I made it past the first episode of the series

I really gave the series a good try. I wanted to like it. It was just unwatchably bad despite all the efforts to be creative.

So dumb. You can buy that stuff right now at most organic grocery stores to add sustainable protein to meals. The only entertaining part was how the characters overreacted (it's the apocalypse; what did you think they were feeding you?). But I laughed even harder at the final reveal of what the train eats.

I love sci fi and dystopian genres. That said, this had to be one of the dumbest movies I have ever watched.

I didn't think it was too bad... then it got to the classroom scene. Tanked the entire movie for me. One watch was more than enough.
