The other format of plug fits anywhere ... the Fluke one is bigger/clunkier when you are trying to plug in behind a sink or what have you.

This is known as a 'bootleg ground'. I just came across this, and learned about it, when working on my mom's old house. It had originally been a 2-prong outlet house, but during some remodel in the 70s all the wiring and outlets had been replaced with 3-prong outlets.
However.... not all the wiring had been replaced... the far side of the house only had hot/neutral wires running to outlets and were 'bootleg' wired.
my klein and old sperry brand outlet tester both said "correct'
As a result, what was supposed to be a single outlet replacement ended up in opening all the outlets in the house and checking wiring on each one. I found a total of 3 outlets done this way, all on same circuit. Ended up replacing the one outlet, running a new 14/2 wire in place of the 2-wire (90% under house in crawlspace fortunately.
and I first checked the breaker panel... it was all 14/2 or 12/2 wires... but was spliced to a 2-wire only in crawlspace in a junction box!.. so freaking odd.
