I don't have a LP Prophecy, but I do have an SG prophecy and these pickups are fantastic. Much more of a modern sound than a usual epiphone / thing, so listen to some reviews to see if it's for you.

I have a prophecy Plus GX which is an older model that has the original Gibson 490 series pickups and it is my everyday favorite guitar. I sold my Gibson Les Paul studio after I bought this. The necks on these are not like the necks on traditional Les Paul's. Besides the fact that they're 24 fret, they're all so a lot thinner. Like Cruzweb said, the fishman fluence pickups are insane! I haven't played them myself, but watched a lot of videos because I thought about getting them. If you're in the market for a killer guitar, this is a really good price and I promise you wouldn't be disappointed with this.

What if you're not in the market for a killer guitar, but the price and guitar both look killer, but you just bought a guitar like 2 weeks ago for thousands of dollars but you still want this one? What would a person like that do?

I have this guitar. Bought it from Sweetwater on an early deal for $699. The Fluence pickups sound great and are versatile with two Fluence voices and coil split. Perhaps a bit compressed sounding for some who prefer a more classic sound but ideal for modern and heavy guitar styles though it can also do clean with the split and classic voice. The Fluence pickups are very articulate even at high gain volume. The neck feels great and the body is chambered where it still feels like a Les Paul but not brutally heavy. The finish on this throughout is excellent and I love that they went with the classic looking headstock. Very happy with this guitar.

Not sure i understand the premise of your dilemma. If you had just bought another guitar 15 minutes ago then I would understand your concern. Maybe. But you said, and I quote, "2 weeks ago."
