I had a few of these. Most broken at the joint when trying to push snow off my vehicles. I tried to be much more gentle, but it still happened.

You need what's called a "roof rake". Plenty on Amazon but expect to pay at least ~$40.

Ha! funny you mention..on Monday I zip tied the foam brush to my roof rake pole (and took off the rake). Worked like a charm for the panels I could reach. I have a low slope roof so snow+deep freeze means solar otherwise goes offline for a bit.

My mom got me a purple Snow Joe thing, I don't think the heads could be switched out (mine has the foam snow squeegee on one end and ice scraper on the other, but possibly I lost the other attachments). At first, I thought "this thing is a little chinsey and bulky, I'll never use it." Well, I gave it a shot last year, and it's really fast for clearing the snow off the roof, windshields, windows, and hood of my car.

I don't know what happened to the other fellow who said his broke, maybe mine is stronger, but it hasn't shown any signs of stress (I usually just clear 3" or less at a time).

Also, it currently still shows the Blue option in-stock and I'm able to add it to my cart.

Oh I know what I need, but I didn't want to spend $40 LOL Was hoping something like this that's half the price would work.

would this be only used for the glass portions? i'm assuming it's not safe for paint sections?

saw a neighbor using one, but he used it all over his car (hoods, roof, etc). I mentioned to him to not use it on those painted areas, but he brushed it off (no pun intended)

The brush part and likely even the plastic pusher part should be fine on paint. I'm not sure I'd use the shovel or scraper on paint but if it was all I had then I might gently do so. It isn't like this is metal blades but still should be done with caution

The main snow pusher material is foam (not plastic). I have used it many times with zero reservation on the body of the vehicle.

Unless your car was built and sold before winter the dealership it came from will have used a snow broom on it's paint every snowfall.

My old Snow Joe snow broom lasted a few years. The newer ones have all broken within 2 seasons max. The aluminum piece just snapped.

Had a lot of issues with water getting trapped inside the poles, and causing corrosion. Some of them seized, requiring me to use pliers to slide them apart.

I noticed that if I store them extended for a few days to fully dry out before collapsing them, this problem doesn't happen

Never saw the kit but the basic piece is great. Only issue is around the railings and antenna. I'd recommend to any who lives where it snows.
