Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

currently has ### minutes, ### messages, #.# GB data, ### days left which I'd like added to my line which currently has ### minutes, #### messages, #.# GB data, ## days left.

My account email address is:

The end result should be minutes, messages, GB data, days left.

Walmart appears to be for 1 phone with plan. This deal is for 2 phones with plans at $54.98 for existing customers, $39.98 for new customers.

Yep, deal not recommended if you plan on using the phone.
Can i buy this phone, transfer the sim to a esim or physical sim to another unlocked phone? I need phone to trade in and can use the number for backup or visitors who need temporary phone. I dont want to throw away the service if i can do that. I have unlocked iphone 13 and S10 which i believe has all bands and they were sitting on desk as backups (for wifey iphone and my android). i can use physical sim on them (our current ones are esim)

Yes, you can harvest the plans. See the Wiki and post #1. Do NOT swap the sim. Buy a $1 BYOD sim.

First, if you got the gift card quickly, I agree that you are safe to order a larger denomination.

As far as activation, what I have done is: activate qvc phone #1 with a transfer of service from current phone, once the balance is updated, activate qvc phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. Then once I see the balance updated, go into the Tracfone account, find the original phone and click the activate button and keep my number to transfer everything back from phone #2. Mine was a different bundle, but both qvc phones unlocked on day 60 even though they only had service for less than 15 minutes. Many Tracfone experts will advise spreading the activations out on different days in case you have to sort something out later.

This method maximizes service time and is easiest because you don't have to deal with customer service at all. If you want to open multiple accounts to try to get self-referral points, there are different benefits and risks to that method.

i just got my 2 pack of Trac phones and activated one of them.

we only need one of these phones, so i want to put the time on the 2nd phone onto the first phone. is that hard to do? or should i talk to customer service?

we are coming from Flip phones to this and these phones are Light years ahead of our flip phone games.

thanks. TIA

You can buy it straight from Tracfone. Skip the pick a plan option. Walmart and Target have raised the price to $5 so buy a few.

Activate the 2nd phone by keeping the number (from fist phone you already activated), and all the 2 years service will be on 2nd phone. The first phone will become inactive.
If you want to use the first phone, after checking the service bucket (minutes/text/data, 2 years) is correct and working properly, you can login Tracfone account and activate the first phone ('manage lines', choose the inactive first phone, activate by keeping the number which is now on the 2nd phone), and everything will go to the first phone.

I bought 6 of the A15s from HSN. That also happened to one of them. Actually, the IMEI gave an error about the brand at first. I called TracFone, and they fixed that part, but said there was no plan associated with that phone. I called HSN, and they had me return that phone for a replacement.
Also, that particular A15 had the Total Wireless app on it. Hmm....

Agree.
Kinda sad, that even brand new sealed these phones are just e waste, right out of the box.

I concede, there may be specific use case for the phones.

But invariably, they will be slow and frustrating

Easy DIY [reddit.com] to combine the service, so you don't want to give the TF CS chance to mess it up! The phone number and service will be moved to 2nd phone (or reactive the 1st phone in your account in in 1-2 days to move everything back to it).

After activating I texted UNLOCK to 611611 and I get the following message:
Quote :
Great news!!! Your phone is already eligible to be unlocked.

Please call our Unlock Department at 1-888-442-5102 so that we can email you instruction to easily unlock your device.
Is this real or fake? I thought it was a 2 month wait...

After you transferred the service/phone # to the new phone, TF reports the unlock status/date of your previous phone.

There is something else going on. Received to same message about already being eligible for unlock on two new activations with new line no port on or transfer. Updated to android 13 and and dialed #tfunlock# just to see if it made any difference. Both phones returned SIM 'locked' status and same message again texting 611611

I didn't transfer anything. It's a new account / line / number?

First two phones I activated from this deal returned dates for unlock. Then recent two had the false 'already eligible for unlock' message. Must be a bug in their automated support system.
