Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

currently has ### minutes, ### messages, #.# GB data, ### days left which I'd like added to my line which currently has ### minutes, #### messages, #.# GB data, ## days left.

My account email address is:

The end result should be minutes, messages, GB data, days left.

I currently have a tracfone plan with unlimited minutes and texts and 24GBdata that was just activated a month ago and is good for another 11 months. What is the best way to extend service on this using the plans for these two phones, can I add another two years to my current plan by activating QVC#1 and QVC#2 first and then transferring them to my current plan? I don't care about keeping any phone numbers as I have google voice.

Thanks in advance, I'm new to this and a bit confused by how Tracfone works in this case.

First, if you got the gift card quickly, I agree that you are safe to order a larger denomination.

As far as activation, what I have done is: activate qvc phone #1 with a transfer of service from current phone, once the balance is updated, activate qvc phone #2 with a transfer from phone #1. Then once I see the balance updated, go into the Tracfone account, find the original phone and click the activate button and keep my number to transfer everything back from phone #2. Mine was a different bundle, but both qvc phones unlocked on day 60 even though they only had service for less than 15 minutes. Many Tracfone experts will advise spreading the activations out on different days in case you have to sort something out later.

This method maximizes service time and is easiest because you don't have to deal with customer service at all. If you want to open multiple accounts to try to get self-referral points, there are different benefits and risks to that method.
Thanks. Can I do all this without turning on the 2-pack phones? I remember doing the different method of adding lines without even turning on the phones.

What is the risk you're talking about? AFAIK, self-referral maximizes your potential referral points. Let's look at the possibilities if you already have a TF line active

1. Self-refer both Motos on separate accounts. Leave both Moto lines active for 60 days. Possible 2x 7500 + 2x 6000 pts in addition to two unlocked devices that you can sell for at least $50 on FB marketplace. End up with ~$320 potential eGift + cash value if the self-referrals work (not guaranteed but has worked once for me), assuming 7500 pts equal $60 eGift value and 6000 pts is about $50. May need to contact CS to merge minutes / data after 60 days on all 3 lines. Big hassle, but I heard it can be done. Link from Howardforums [howardforums.com].

2. Activate Moto 1 using same number option using original TF number, activate Moto 2 using same number, reactivate original TF SIM. Two Motos get unlocked but because their lines are no longer active on a separate account, self-referral points will be lost after 60 days of inactivity. You guarantee your minutes / data get merged without CS intervention and you wind up with 2 unlocked Motos but you necessarily give up the potential rewards. I haven't done this myself because I never cared about the TF minutes.

Also I'll note that the referral bonus for the referrer, in this case the original TF line, is flaky, but the referee (the Motos) should get 6000, which means option 1 should at a minimum get 2x 6000 pts. Just need to use two separate email addresses.

If you want the bundled service, you need to turn on the phones.
When you activate phone #1, a security code is sent to your original phone for verification. Activate phone #2, code to phone #1, and then code to phone #2 when you move everything to the original phone.
To get the self-referral points only (new accounts), you don't need to turn on the phones (still eligible for unlock), unless you want to combine service from the QVC phones to your original phone.

There's not much bloat out of the box on the Motorola Tracfones I've purchased. Just Mobile Services and like 3 Tracfone related apps. Definitely want to disable Mobile Services though as that app downloads bloatware.

I've bought used Verizon-branded phones and noticed those have a bunch more bloat.
Bumping this for mentioning the "Mobile Services" app.

Disable before activating to prevent bloatware downloads on your dime.

Before I begin, I should turn on both phones, go through the initial setup and activate?

And should I only do one transfer a day, as shown below?

Day one, turn on both original phone and phone 1. Verification code sent to original phone. Both plans combined on phone 1.

Day two, turn on both phone 1 and phone 2. Verification code sent to phone 1. Both plans combined on phone 2.

Day three, turn on both phone 2 and original. Verification code sent to phone 2. Both plans combined on original phone.

I guess that's how it goes if I follow that post in the wiki.

1. Self-refer both Motos on separate accounts. Leave both Moto lines active for 60 days. Possible 4x 7500 pts in addition to two unlocked devices that you can sell for at least $50 on FB marketplace. I've heard TracFone system detecting and wiping out points for self referrals so there's definitely a risk for doing this. But then you just end up in the same place as option 2 you outlined so there's really no loss, except maybe 2 months of service from each harvested line but since these lines are so cheap, it's not a major loss.

Yes, if you don't care about the rewards points from self-referrals (which require moving lines to the main account and a chat with TF to combine service after points vested on day 61 and redeemed for service plans, phone discount code or eGift cards).
Take screenshots of your balance before combining just in case.

There are two risks:
-that the system flags you for fraud so either the points don't vest or you can't redeem them
-and that an agent messes up the combine which will take multiple calls to sort out.

I've experienced both. Someone earlier in the thread said they were flagged for a self-referral when they legitimately referred their neighbor.

And in your #2 above, there would not be any referral points because you do it all on the same account. There might be a small amount of points for the new phone activation.

Want to add for anyone considering these for a daily use phone.

They are sluggish. As in very sluggish. Set them up this morning. Over wifi updated. Restarted several times. Installed nothing onto the devices. No bloatware. Still sluggish.

Luckily, just using as trade in devices.

If you bought this bundle only for the Spectrum trade-in and don't need the plan, I'm offering 5 AGC per plan. PM me, I'll do the setup work.

Not wrong, good to point out the extra work involved. As another user says, if the first happens you're no worse off than the second route (activate all on the same line one after another). The second risk just takes time and effort to fix.

This is a great price for a couple of phones and the service plan that comes with it.

Just be warned that these are very low-spec phones so if you actually intend to use them to install apps or browse the web, you may be disappointed with how sluggish they are and how much lag occurs. When I see people talking about getting them for their kids, I'm not sure if that amounts to child abuse or a good lesson in patience.
Quote from AnciusD :
It should be good enough for basic phone services (calls, text). So, suitable for kids, seniors, other specific use cases. However, this model is laggy by most accounts. The 2x 2024 G Play is a better option ($99 less coupon) if shopping for a phone.
Quote from AnciusD :
Many reviews say that the 2023 is very laggy. Also, less memory/storage, too. I'd avoid it. The 2024 is a better phone by all accounts.
Quote from johnnyblades :
i'm not a phone snob, still using a pixel 5a. but yes, this is a very slow phone. i got two of these awhile ago. i also got the 2024 version to harvest plan and the 2024 version is leaps and bounds snappier.

anyone looking to actually use the phone, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and get the 2024 version.

2023 version is 3GB/32GB
2024 version is 4GB/64GB and its a very noticeable difference.

QVC sells the 2 pack of the 2024 version for $99 and new customers can use the same $15 off code. So for an extra 45 bucks, you actually get two very useable phones instead of ewaste.

Yep, deal not recommended if you plan on using the phone.
