I have one. They're not waterproof as there is not any type of sealing surface or gasket. It's just a plastic on plastic mating surface on the lid to the top of the container. They would keep stuff dry in a light to moderate rain, though.

Per Amazon review: The lid has a recessed lip all the way around it, so short of being submerged (and at an angle) it should keep water out. YMMV

I have a couple. Not waterproof, but keeps out light rain. Bugs and some dust can get in though if stored outside like a porch or carport.

These are weather resistant but not humidity proof. Air will exchange, but water will not get in if falling on top. Don't submerge them. You could probably improve things with a bit of weatherstripping.

I have several. I prefer the smaller ones.

12.49. Much easier to move and store.

Being weatherproof is a feature. It requires more seals which add to production cost. So when a product is weatherproof it will damn sure say it.

The corollary is, if it doesn't say it's weatherproof, you can rest assured it's not.

I have the 27 gal and leave it in the bed of my truck (covered). It has been pretty durable and a good length for leaving misc truck needs. Wheels are certainly convenient although forces you to pull at an inconvenient angle. If you close the buckles would likely keep most water out unless submerged

I have a couple of these in green.

They aren't entirely waterproof. I live in a bit more humid area so sometimes I do find condensation inside my camping one's.

I resolved it by getting some weather seals and ran it through the lip of the lid. I got some 1/4" ones and it worked perfect. No more condensation and waterproof.

Yes they stack quite nicely with very little movement.
The little ones don't lock well with the larger ones but do sit decent enough to stack anyways.

I have bought (free shipping) these a few times in the past for $20 from Cabela's. They are $20 there yet today and I'm guessing usually are. So this is still a good deal and I bought some today but not amazing.
The latches on these are super robust. There is absolutely no way the lid would blow off going down the highway in a pickup bed, for example. And I love this shape and size of tote way more than the yellow-lid monsters that people seem to like so much. These aren't quite as big but those enormous totes aren't needed for most things. These are way easier to carry around. I use them for packing for trips sometimes too (this is moreso their designed purpose I believe).

Are these better than the 56qt (14gal) ones? Some complaints in the other thread:

"Bought a couple of these a while back on a deal. I can't recommend them. They're not waterproof and they're not sturdy. A latch broke on each of mine within the first few weeks. They can't take a bump/impact, the latches are cheap plastic and shatter. The totes themselves have held up OK, but I have been careful with them since they had already broken. "

"These are not good. They are flimsy and not really lockable. If you want to lock something, you'll need to purchase 4 locks so as to lock each of the 4 holes, and unless those locks are very tight on those holes, it's still possible to get into it a little bit on the sides, so you better hope whatever you lock is big enough to not pull though the gap, which again can be bent because it's flimsy. Also the holes for the locks are pretty small so it better be small locks. If all your looking for is a box that is plastic and slightly stronger than cardboard, then this might help, but certainly don't use it for anything you actually care about keeping somewhat secured. "
