TRADE-IN OVERVIEW
SAMSUNG TRADE-IN PROGRAM TERMS/CONDITIONS [samsung.com]
SAMSUNG TRADE-IN FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS [samsung.com]
Overview:
If Samsung is processing trade-ins like prior deals, you will receive instructions by email--along with a prepaid shipping label--around the time your new phone arrives. You can also print the label from your online Samsung account.
You will send in the phone only (no boxes, chargers, SIMs, cases, etc.). Phone must be factory reset and have no passwords or locks. Good practice: Make a VIDEO and take photos of the phone, including showing some functions, to prove the condition if Samsung challenges you after inspecting the phone.
Common questions...
My phone has scratches [or burn in or faulty Bluetooth or fill in the blank]. Will Samsung accept the phone? Will the trade in amount be reduced? According to the FAQ, "Your device must have no breaks, cracks, or other defects that go beyond normal wear and tear." Is your issue normal wear and tear?
When/how will I get instructions for trading in my phone? Samsung will send you an email with the subject "Welcome to the Samsung Trade-In Program." The email will arrive anywhere from the day the phone ships to a few days after the phone arrives. It includes a link to download a pre-paid shipping label. You have 15 days from receipt of the email to ship the trade in. You can also get the shipping label for the trade in from your online Samsung account under order details.
Two commonly asked questions about financed and leased phones:
1. The device I'm trading in is one that I bought using an equal payment or other financing plan, and I still have payments left on it. Can I still trade it in?
Yes – however, please note that all remaining payments on the device you're trading in are your responsibility. You may also be subject to additional fees. Check with your current carrier for details.
2. I lease my device. Can I trade it in?
No – leased devices are not eligible for this Trade-In Promotion unless you purchase the leased device from your carrier before trading it in. Check with your carrier for details.
SALES TAX
Samsung charges sales tax based on your State's requirements. Some States charge sales tax on the pre trade-in price, other States after the trade-in is applied. This is not Samsung playing games.

For 512GB
200Credit = $120 towards phone and $80 towards accessories.
On top of that the $50 pre-reservation credit is added towards accessories for s25U purchase.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Unlocked 512GB $1,419
Samsung Care+ with Theft 2 Years $228
S22U Trade in -$600
Instant Samsung Credit -$130
Storage Upgrade Credit -$120
TOTAL: $798.64
Keep in mind, I added the Samsung Care plus theft two year plan for $228. If I didn't go with Samsung Care the price would be... $570
Still haven't decided to buy in yet.
130 instant credit doesn't come off your total price - right? It is something you can use on things like samsung pods and what not
So, for best price need to choose either:
- S25 Ultra with Samsung Care+ 2 Yr plan or
- S25 Ultra with Buds3 Pro (Silver)
The S25U even lost spen features. Same 5k battery from S22 lol.

Promotions aren't as great as when I got the Flip 5 and my state taxes the full amount even with a trade in discounting the price. It sucks paying $76 in sales tax on an item that didn't cost me $800+ but it was like that on the Flip 5 in 2023. On a more positive note I ordered Coral Red as I wanted an exciting color.

However, I don't see how the Op got the TAB A9+ 64GB for $35 . I got the $50 reserve credit.
if I just add the TAB A9+ 64GB without trade $220 - $55. Military = 164.99 . It should be $165- $130 =$35 .....But in the bundle is $67.49 because the Military discount is only -$22.50... this makes the total now $447.48 that's $12 more than the post ( all this pretax of course) even with $20 less from the phone to start with, howe did the post Op get it for $35? Can anyone break that math?
If I just add Galaxy Tab S9 FE, 128GB, Alone and the price without trade is $337.49 , Military saving $112.50 . If you add it to the deal the military savings is just 80 dollars , so you lose 32.50 from the military saving .
Looks Military Discount gets cheapened each time you add anything to the order.
