S25: 299
S25+: 399

This is for existing users on flexible or unlimited plus plan. Phone comes unlocked and ready to be used with any carrier, just make sure not put the FI SIM in any other phone until the 120 day counter in FI account reaches 0.

How do I get this if I'm not a google FI user?
Previously some saw this "existing user" upfront discount offers 21 days after opening the account. In a recent thread https://slickdeals.net/f/18046998-s24-ultra-unlocked-l-google-fi-existing-customers-120-days-of-service-required-info-on-s25-ultra-preorder-599 some saw the discount 48 hours after opening but I believe they did not click on it to see if they are actually eligible. So if you are planning to get S25U you can do a gamble for $25 or so by opening an account now (use referral code for $60 credit) and see if you are able to order by the end of the preorder period. Note that even after the preorder period ends FI will still have a discount albeit $50 less o it might still end up being a good discount.

Is there a way to apply the existing customer discount for S25U ($650) on a new line on the existing customer's account? A family member has Google Fi service and see's the discount and agreed to add me to his plan for the duration of the promo. He tried checking out but when asked "Who will be use the S25 Ultra, selecting "A new person" causes the discount to become the $300 off now and $700 back over 24 months.

Is there any way around this so that a different line his account can use the S25U instead of him? Like if before attempting to checkout, we add me to his plan, I bring my own device (decline the free phone offer), then I show up as a person he can select when choosing who will use the S25U? Personally, my Fi account is in that 21 day limbo where I signed up a week ago on a flexible plan but am not considered an "existing customer".

You get the discount up front. But they can chargeback and say you violated the terms. But in Fi Savings under billing you will have an "In Progress" tab and it will show the discount and a countdown from the 120 days. I'm pretty sure the countdown will be visible within 24 hours of activating the phone. But either way you DO NOT WANT TO USE THAT SIM IN ANY OTHER PHONE or you void the promotion. You also don't want to sell the phone for the risk that if someone else uses a Google FI sim in that phone thats not yours it voids the promotion.

I did what you did for an S22 (purchased at end of model year so right before the s23 came out) and the 120 day countdown timer never started. I had to contact chat numerous times to get it straightened out and you have to ask for your case to be escalated to a specialist team because first level chat is useless.

But maybe you will get lucky. Maybe their systems changed in the past two years but I think people may have had issues in the s24 thread but for that I activated a few days early so my s24 promo went through fine

So bottom line, monitor the Fi Savings tab when you activate the phone and make sure the 120 days is counting down correctly. If it does not start within 24-48 hours of activating , contact chat and ask to escalate to the specialist team.

The terms say they can chargeback your Google Pay account. Blocking it will cause you headaches so if countdown doesnt start you want to straighten it out

*** I put a lot of info in the thread wiki copying helpful info from last year's thread by hpham_53
Yeah I'll keep an eye on it. It told me welcome back as I was a previous customer and gave me the amount. Sadly have to wait till February to get the phone to start it. So I'll be paying for more than 120 days of service. lol.

You also have to count 4 months of service of you are not using FI. On the other hand, Samsung tax is on the full amount
I guess the tax amount also depends on your location. For Tennessee I see its only charging on the balance after all credits.

People are not following the advice of waiting a day before purchasing the phone. This thread is going to be busy with people complaining the promo countdown is not working for them.

Dont rush. Wait 24 hours before you purchase phone for new activations! Unless they fixed their systems. I posted earlier.

What is the countdown? The countdown is the 120 day countdown that shows how many days service you have left before you honored the commitment.

If you activate the same day and buy the phone, the system does not know you are an existing customer and wont honor promo, and chargeback
Second this. Last year I had to go through higher level of support to get the countdown started. I rejoined Google Fi and purchased the S24U on the same day, the countdown never changed after I activated the phone - until the support fixed it. I remember many ppl got turned down by the support and had to return the phone

Does anyone know how to defer for a week a 30 days activation period that starts from a shipping confirmation?

I have s24 purchased by promo and it ends on March 16. This promo ends on Feb 7, so trade in s24 I need to defer a promo counter for about a week to get s25 for free.

Weird. I see the "$650 off Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra" when I choose the color. But on the next screen where it assigns the device to the person it shows "You're not eligible for this offer."
I have the same thing. I am on unlimited plus with 50% off for some months and $60 credit so perhaps that makes me ineligible.

I'm in for a black S25U 256MB. Got the $650 off.

Checked my GoogleFi history: over the past few years, I have gotten S22, S22U, S23U, S24U, S24+, and now S25U all from GoogleFi. I keep my account active, earn the discount, then pause my service. Set a reminder in my calendar to login to Fi and unpause/repause my service every 28 days….so I have been an ongoing customer for probably 4 years now. When this deal comes around every year, I unpause my service, order the phone, activate, throw the SIM in the drawer, and set a timer for 120 days. At 120 days, verify the deal is satisfied, and pause the service.

Checked Swappa: I can sell my existing S24U 512MB for ~$800. So I may be out $100 or so after paying for 4 months of Fi, and all the fees associated with selling on Swappa. $100 every year to upgrade to the premium flagship phone?? I'm in.

They are offering $450 for the S24 ultra 512gb, which is probably $150 less than Swappa value.
S24 ultra 512 is $870+ on swappa. That's >$400 more.

That's what I did last year. Not sure about downgrading my storage now though :/. So I'm on the fence for a couple days.

You can ask for referral,.many of us here are on FI but I'm not sure if you needed to provide it before creating the account? You can activate the eSIM on s22U by installing the app.
Ahhh ok thank you. So the sim to not activate in another phone would be the one that comes with ordering an s25u then. Thank you!

Yup, if it's a physical SIM that is. If it's an eSIM make sure not to have Google FI app installed in any other phone as it move the eSIM there. So, if you activate the s25u, better to uninstall the FI app from s22u
