step 1: Need Spectrum Internet
I've noticed two different methods of reactivating phones onto active lines.
1. Use the self-service tool online labeled "Switch devices" and plug in IMEI and it'll send a new eSIM to your new device. This does not reset the activation clock and you can unlock based on initial activation date. 2. If the above doesn't work or the system glitches, you'll need customer service help to activate the device on the line. They will do a BYOD upgrade of the line with the new device IMEI you provided and you'll receive a new order email that basically upgraded the line with a BYOD device. This will reset the activation clock. DO NOT ever do the second method. If the first method fails, go to a store and get a physical SIM and then you can just swap the pSIM into whatever phone you want without requiring a new BYOD activation order. |

You just need to chat with rep to get full refund. I got it last 2 years. You can also go to store when available and get it for free while trading your device.

Yes. It would work with that.
Agreed!!

Get the Samsung Galaxy S25 128GB when trading in most old phones. I just traded in an old Galaxy S10E and got $710 trade in value.

QA note: final price depends on the value of the phone you trade in, final price listed for this thread is with trading in a phone worth $10.
I'm confused by the terms of the trade-in, which say: "Trade-in offer requires customers to trade in qualifying device, purchase and activate a new device. Trade-in device must have a value greater than $0. If the value of the trade-in device credit exceeds the cost of the new device, credit will be reflected on bill statement within 2-3 bill cycles. Promotional credits are reflected over 36 mos. on the bill statement. "
So this trade-in is partially 'Trade-In Refund' on the checkout page and then 'Additional Spectrum promotion value of $700'. I guess the trade-in refund gets refunded to our credit card, and then $700 shows up on the bill statement in 2-3 months?
Then at that point you just call in and they also refund that part back to your card?
I wonder how it works when the trade-in device costs more than the new device.

Verizon blamed Spectrum, Spectrum said they unlocked everything on their end, and Samsung said there's no issue with their phones.
Multiple cases over a year have gotten no resolution.
