Also, I'd need to turn in the S23+ immediately so transferring my data onsite wouldn't be easy. That kinda sucks. I wish they'd give you like a week to bring it back in or something.
Even paid in full, you still need to be on Spectrum network with the phone for 60 days for them to unlock it. That can't be avoided. If you do trade in in store, then yeah, you either need to use the Samsung Smart Switch software to back up your old phone in advance or you need to use it to swap the phone data in store
Same happened to me too!
My area is not covered by Spectrum and they redirected me to my Xfinity account. After that I couldn't find the offer anymore. Looks confusing 😕

This year S25 fine print:
"Trade-in offer requires customers to trade in qualifying device, purchase and activate a new device. Trade-in device must have a value greater than $0. If the value of the trade-in device credit exceeds the cost of the new device, credit will be reflected on bill statement within 2-3 bill cycles. Promotional credits are reflected over 36 mos on the bill statement. Cancellation of mobile line before device is paid off will result in forfeiture of remaining promotional credits. Visit spectrum.com/mobile/trade-in for details."
Last year explicitly mentioned that credit can be applied if paid in full. Not this year. I would personally not make a bid.
