Has anyone placed an order? Have they sent you the trade-in label yet?

QVC has 2 motorola phones for $55. They are G Play 2023s i think. They qualified for the $710 trade in total when I checked yesterday.

I did the same trick last year. Ended up buying (4) S24's for EACH $90+tax+$45 (walmart motorola phone from straight talk)

For folks doing this in-store, can you pre-order it in-store, do we have to wait until the launch to do it? Also, if we pre-order in store, what did you pay now, and when do we have to trade in the phone?

Did an online order but didn't get a trade in label after more than a day.

Would they accept a locked iPhone 13 from one of these prepaid carriers like total or metro?

They should. I've traded in locked phones in the past and it's never been an issue. That wasn't with Spectrum though.

Current Spectrum Mobile customer here. Went through process using Galaxy S10+ as trade-in and the total came out to $98.22 (California). Fine print:

Trade-In Value ($15.00) + Spectrum Promotion ($700.00)

The trade-in value and additional promotion credit will be processed after your device is received and verified. If the final trade-in value exceeds the cost of the new device, the difference will be credited to your account.

Have you tried flashing a different firmware from xda?
This has long been an issue with Samsung phones with Spectrum. Spectrum shows as unlocked on their end but they are not unlocked on the user's end. This happened with multiple phones for me, and I eventually gave up and just used them as trade in devices.

I checked my Samsung A54 5G that I got for $90 from a slickdeal 2 years ago and the trade in value is $745.

I'll try for an S25+ in store once they are available.

I already use Spectrum mobile for my main line, so I can activate the S25+ on that for 2 months and then unlock.

I think Spectrum finally fixed their system to only send you the trade in label when the new phone ships. They've had ppl (like myself) with new phone orders getting cancelled but already sent in their trade in and can never get the trade in phone back.

Are you located in NY? Do you remember if you got taxed for the full value of the new phone or just the difference of the new phone minus the trade in?

Wondering if the following would work:

I have an S21 on Tmobile, and an old flip phone on Tracfone. I already have Spectrum internet.

I'd like to trade the flip phone for the S25, get the $700 credit, move the Tracfone phone number over to Spectrum, but then use the S25 on Tmobile (with the Tmobile phone number) while putting the S21 on Spectrum (with the formerly Tracfone phone number). I should get Spectrum mobile free for a year, so then after a year, cancel Spectrum account with S21.

Does this sound feasible or will I run into issues?

Even if you pre order online, you can go surrender your old phone instore. That's what the agreement says.

I would like the higher 256GB version, but I have been hearing that the store doesn't carry the higher memory version. Can people tell me if that's true? Is it possible to preorder, pay in full, then when I trade in the old phone in store, have them apply the full credit in the store? If they are unable to do the credit as a lump and can only do 36 months, can I return the phone in store for a full refund?

The Spectrum website says that there's a $50 restocking fee and the item can't be returned in store, but I was wondering if others have had different experiences or if they make exceptions for preorders.

Edit: I was trying to ask Spectrum support for info and got this response. They say that if you purchase in store, you don't get the credit at the time of purchase but will have to wait at least 30 days while it gets processed. I realize some support staff will give wrong information, so take it with a grain of salt. (Attached screen capture)

I'm getting a ton of "Sorry, your Samsung GALAXY S23 5G is not eligible for trade-in". I tried a ton of other phones like S22, S24 but nothing is eligible. Has anyone gotten a list of actually eligible devices for trading in?
You have to use valid, not blacklist IMEI number.
