I hope I didn't make a mess. Please advise.
1) I went to store today and traded 2 phones and got 2 s25.
2) as I see the my spectrum mobile app. They have remaining balances.
3) so I asked rep. He said it will be gone after third party gets the trade-ins.
4) So I went home. And got back to the store after 2 hrs attempting to trade 2 S25s.
5) but the other rep said they cannot be traded in because they are financed.
What do I have to do? What was the wrong part?
1) My question is that is it possible to cancel the original order?
2) is ti possible to pay the remaining and get credit back?
3) or do i just have to wait couple of days system to settle down?

Please kindly save me. I'm totally lost.

I am currently on ATT Prepaid yearly (and not moving from this). I am a spectrum internet customer.... and have a phone that would be good for trade in on this. Will the spectrum s25 models work on ATT?

Hey.Buddy,

I noticed you're amused by the idea of repeatedly purchasing Spectrum's Samsung S25 during their sale to resell for profit, thinking it's not fraudulent. However, it's important to understand that this practice can be legally questionable.

Fraud is defined as wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. By continually upgrading a free line to obtain the latest devices and then selling them, you're engaging in deceptive behavior that deprives the company and its shareholders of value. Even if you're transparent with the sales representatives, the higher-ups have systems in place to detect such activities, which are designed to prevent exactly this kind of exploitation.

While you might not face legal consequences for a small number of transactions, scaling this operation—say, involving a group of 40 people—could attract federal attention and be considered fraudulent. It's not that people don't get in trouble for minor offenses; it's that larger, organized schemes are more likely to be prosecuted.

Just something to consider before continuing with this approach even if just the other people reading see this,

Signed,

Someone who has already done the dance with the federal government over something very similar.
Hey "Buddy," Yes, I am amused by all the hand ringing around here regarding fraud. There's nothing " legally questionable" about taking advantage of a promotion that is 100% by the rules. Just because you might think it is doesn't make it so. What deceptive behavior am I engaging in? I'm purchasing a phone and I can do whatever I want with it. There's nothing deceptive about it. Spectrum doesn't ask what I'm doing with the phone that I purchase from them. If their own promotion deprives them in their shareholders of value then they have no one to blame but themselves. This is like saying that I am somehow engaging in legally questionable behavior when I purchase buy one get one free items from Publix and then sell one of them on the side.

Help me understand how I would be guilty of any sort of fraud even if I got 40 or so people involved to go take advantage of a promotion that is advertised all for spectrum's website, violates no laws, and violates no regulation set for by spectrum. You were just talking out of your ass. You can't just say that something is "considered" fraudulent because you think it is or because you disagree with it. The law is the law.

I would venture to guess that your own situation involving fraud dealt with something very dissimilar from this. Feel free to share exactly what it is so we can compare it to this.

Lmao so in Arizona you only get taxed on leftover after subtotal. My total was $89+7 in taxes for 128G S25. Traded in a moto g play from TracFone.

No luck at my local spectrum store trying to trade in a s25 for ultra . They said I needed to wait 14 days to get outside of the return period or something. Probably shouldn't have tried the day after I got the S25 originally lol

They knew who I was l,went and asked the manager and that's his response.

I'll go try at a different spectrum store
They are getting super protective of the phones and upgrades at my store. I hate people like that. There's only one chill guy who works on weekends only or something. Rest of time I just get lied to about the phones being in stock. You'd think I'm on a wanted list or something. It's ridiculous. I'm done with the stores

So far i have obtained 6 S25 all from the same store each time i added a line that costs 20 a month. In case anyone wants a sure fire safe route to get it done

Edit: so my point is that if anyone is getting flagged or blocked its because you arent forking over the extra 20 dollars. Plus you all better pray that the phones dont have to have active service the whole time because my guy just said, two billing cycles or 90 days of service is needed and said there is no if ands or buts.

I forget if verizon is the same and you have to a tuslly have servicd
Good to know. You're paying $20 + $20 activation fee and holding the lines for 3 months to get it unlocked so it starts to add up $20 x 3 + $20 activation = $80. Arbitrager seems to imply that you don't need to keep these new lines open for 60+ days for the unlock as long as you have one active line on the account.

Most Verizon MVNOs like Tracfone only require 1 month of service to unlock in 60 days.

I managed to get two S25+ phones by trading two S25 phones. I got a refund of ~$120 for each trade. Good deal.

Planning to trade S25+ and get S25 Ultra in a week. Fingers crossed.

Let me know if anyone have done S25+ to S25 Ultra. Thanks !

Bought two phones in store, traded in s22 for a s25 ultra, paid about $600. Traded another s22 for an s25 standard, paid about $56

Your phones are either financed or you went to a non mobile store. Did it look like an old school cable office by chance?

There are two types of spectrum stores. Mobile - typically have new phones on display with prices. These can do trade ins on the spot.
Cable - looks like an old sad cable company store. Some can give you phones but they don't process trades on the spot.

Good luck.
