I went to a Spectrum store and asked for the free line with a trade-in for an S25. It was an iphone 6S plus that the website says 700 credit even with a cracked screen and they were only going to give $5. I tried a samsung S8+ with same results. Any ideas what I did wrong? I do have Spectrum internet.

my understanding is:
those trade in values are accurate.
but there is additional ~700 bonus

Get the Samsung Galaxy S25 128GB for 90$ when trading in most old phones. Just trade in an old Galaxy (Example S10) and get $710 trade in value.

It'll look like that but tell them to put it in and have promo apply. It'll add 700 on top

Not the right move when going from S25 to S25plus gets you a 120 refund or even trade with S25 plus 512 GB

I have been doing this since the s23. Every year. Up to 4 lines. The issue is you can get blocked from doing trade ins. Nobody really knows how/why. I have no personal issues with people doing it but I won't risk getting black listed, blocked, something worse on lines that I use.

I didn't do it last year but when I did the s23 deal I got one s23 to ultra then basically got blocked from doing anything else. Gonna try to get one ultra this year and call it a day.

My 24 plus from spectrum was used on att. No problems. Back on spectrum, because of free line.

Anyone who did online and mailed in the trade-ins got the refund yet? I received email saying my trade-in was received and will receive the credit in 2 billing cycles. I haven't seen the credit in my account yet, so want to know how long it actually takes.

The good thing is the email says the promotional credit will be credited in a lump sum, not over 36 months.
