Spectrum support knows nothing
It's not unlocked unless you bought it unlocked from Best Buy or something
There's also no real way to tell using just the IMEI on the box AFAIK
But if you got it from Spectrum store, safe to assume it's locked to Spectrum, even if paid in full
If you want to flip it sealed, it'd be Spectrum locked. You can go that route if you want. If you want to get it unlocked and sell unlocked, you need to have service for two months but more importantly have it opened up and connected to Spectrum network both at start of service and at end after 60 day period when you call/chat to get it unlocked
There's no real way around that sadly
Best of luck to you.
Best of luck to you.
Bought 3x S23s for about $210 each after trade in, all within 4-5 days. The last time, I traded in a S23 for an ultra and then I got stuck with the fraud block.
This year 4xS25s and then one ultra upgrade within 4-5 days. After that have the fraud block. So its either doing so much activity within a short time or upgrading the lines that causes the block. Seems weird as this is not happening to other people, at least not immediately.

Now, Trying to decide if its worth getting one more S25 online to sell off. Considering after trading the phones, and 2 months of service, the total for the S25 comes out to about $190 dollars. 190X4 = $720 + $200 to upgrade to the Ultra = $960
I am thinking these will probably sell for around $5-550 dollars in 2 months and selling off 2 of the S25s will pretty much let me break even to get a free S25 and S25 Ultra.
so is it worth the trouble to get another for $300 bucks?
If it were in store, I'd say yes
Online can go south. But as long as you're sending in beater phone, probably still worth

online route I go! if not, I wait and trade in the s25s to Bestbuy when they enable it. I did this last year with some of the s24s I had, grabbing around $450-500 BB gc each, I forgot exact amount as I did like 3 of them on different days to grab my new macbook pro laptop
Do you mind sharing what that promo is from BestBuy?

do you remember how many days after the release best buy started accepting s24?
i'm wondering how long i need to wait for my new macbook pro lol
It's just their trade in program

Do you remember how the unlock procedure works? I can't remember if they give you a code or the unlock happens over the air?
question though: i wasnt thinking clearly and thought it made sense to do it all as a new line even though i'm going to use it on my main line. if i switch it over, do i need to move it back to that new line in 60 days to unlock it or does it just need to be on spectrum service in general for 60 days? can i safely cancel that new line immediately?
also, am i screwed as far as keeping my device protection plan for this phone if i move it to my main line? i guess its not a big deal because i only spent <$200 on this phone but it'd still be nice to have
Any idea if I can add another new line (currently 3 lines total) and be able to trade the previous S25 to S25+? has anyone successfully traded with a new line after getting blocked?
