Both times I traded in my phone, I just gave it to them with the SIM in it, in store.
Some said they did a factory reset with sim card, then finished the setup process without input any personal information by selecting Skip on any questions during the set up process. Then removed the sim card and powered off the device and sent it in. When the Assurant receives the phone, they will get into the phone without any problem, but if they do a factory reset, then...
I decided to send it to Assurant with an expired TracFone SIM card even though the instructions said removing sim card & memory card.

Whether you get the additional tax + TIV back when your trade-in processes is dependent on your state tax law. If you pay taxes only on the after promo price in-store, you should get the taxes back.
Great, I reset it with sim and entered past setup screen without setting up any accounts, then removed sim, and left it like that. But if they reset, it'll be an issue. Now I'm worried I won't get trade-in. Any success stories of online trade-in of moto g play without sim
I printed the barcode from the USPS label from option 2 online trading.
Place it with the phone.
Video recorded the complete phone reset process and condition.
Then took it to UPS, ask that guy to scan the QR Code and it did it.
He also allowed me to record the packing process and also gave me a copy of the label and Receipt of dropping of the parcel.
It saws the expected delivery dat is Monday 24 by 12 PM
