Depends on your state, you may or may not pay tax on full price. I paid tax on full price,

That's why you take a video of the phone from all angles, and showing the IMEI from settings. The IMEI tells you the carrier of the device and is unrefutable.

Curious how that works. My S24 was purchased from Spectrum. Months later I switched to ATT. When I did so, a few days after, all of the ATT firmware was pushed to the phone (boots with ATT logo). So is it a Spectrum phone or an ATT phone for this purpose?

I removed the sim. After resetting the phone I made sure that I set up the phone use skip all the way and reached home screen.

where did you see if that they will fail the phone if there is a SIM card inside?
all I saw was that they will throw away the SIM card or something.
