When I asked them why I wasn't allowed to trade in store, the agent contacted someone "on the backend of things", and was told it was a one time flag. I then told him I already tried twice, and then the story changed. They are just making crap up as they go along, either because they want to push speculation as fact, or because they are just trying to get you off the phone.
The best way to know what is true, is to hear multiple accounts of people receiving the same outcome on here, or stuff you know from the deal last year.
I already paid in full. My question mainly is can I use the free line to unlock the phones purchased from paid line ( second line, that I wish to cancel)
To make his point, he put insurance of $5 per month + 36 month finance, for both things i said No, but still he did. I got surprised when I noticed my Spectrum Bill online while coming back to home. In-store i didn't checked, because of excitement :-)
Solution- I did chat with Spectrum folk and they did fully payment of device within a minute and remove insurance cost as well.
The line ending in XXXX was activated on the network on February 22nd and consecutive 60 total days or if you change the device you can but that IMEI needs to be active for 60 days or more before the system will allow us to unlock it. The system will tell us if that IMEI has been active for 60 days, if it has not the system will not allow us to unlock the device.

Answer - you can't do TCL, one plus.

I wanted to pop my pSIM into another phone while waiting but looks like the phone needs to be activated and on spectrum for 61 days?? oh well. Just have to pay a few more extra days on the plan if this is true and the phone has to be active for 61 days
