All of this stuff you guys are hearing from customer service is laughable…

When I asked them why I wasn't allowed to trade in store, the agent contacted someone "on the backend of things", and was told it was a one time flag. I then told him I already tried twice, and then the story changed. They are just making crap up as they go along, either because they want to push speculation as fact, or because they are just trying to get you off the phone.

The best way to know what is true, is to hear multiple accounts of people receiving the same outcome on here, or stuff you know from the deal last year.

Call the billing dept and pay off in full, the amount will appear as credit in your account which you can ask to refund. I did this and got refunded immediately on the same call

I already paid in full. My question mainly is can I use the free line to unlock the phones purchased from paid line ( second line, that I wish to cancel)

I got 2 S25 yesterday and paid in full. I see now 1 marked as paid full but the other line, store rep put the 2nd line on payment plan causing me headache now. Anyone know wow to fix this, chat says they i have to wait 1 month.
Same thing happened with me, i told to store associate to give me print, he printed and didn't handover to me.. and said i will get it over email...
To make his point, he put insurance of $5 per month + 36 month finance, for both things i said No, but still he did. I got surprised when I noticed my Spectrum Bill online while coming back to home. In-store i didn't checked, because of excitement :-)
Solution- I did chat with Spectrum folk and they did fully payment of device within a minute and remove insurance cost as well.

Doesn't the phone need to be active for 60 days or more? Won't canceling the my paid line make it unactive?
See what response chat representative gave me-
The line ending in XXXX was activated on the network on February 22nd and consecutive 60 total days or if you change the device you can but that IMEI needs to be active for 60 days or more before the system will allow us to unlock it. The system will tell us if that IMEI has been active for 60 days, if it has not the system will not allow us to unlock the device.

how do you contact Assurant? I sent my trade device in and no update from UPS tracking other than "on the way, Dallas, TX", it was supposed to be delivered 2/25 but not update since 2/24

Looks like it needs to be active for 60days. Was this the same for last year and how are people saying they can just keep one line usually just the free line and be able to unlock serveral s25? Doesn't make sense.

So looks like the IMEI has to be active for 61 days, not just activated with the SIM?

I wanted to pop my pSIM into another phone while waiting but looks like the phone needs to be activated and on spectrum for 61 days?? oh well. Just have to pay a few more extra days on the plan if this is true and the phone has to be active for 61 days

Less than 3 days. You many not see it online immediately, depends on billing cycle date of you next bill. But you can always call and the rep can usually see the credit and issue the refund. Some people might see a charge equal to the requested refund online, but it will disappear when the next bill generates.
