I kind of understand why it's this price, i know it could be found cheaper in digital but like all stuff you won't actually own it. If you try and look for OG anime's of that time (ex. dbz, one peace) you will never find them cheap specially since they're on Blu-ray and of course they have quite a lot of episodes.
HDX, so pretty much. I don't typically notice a great leap in quality between digital and physical. And besides, it's very convenient to not have to get up and change a disc every 5 episodes or so.
Trash? I dunno if I'd say that. There's lots of fun in a lot episodes. For me, the trash was, I believe, in Shippuden when they didn't all sorts of back stories for all the characters and recapped stuff. It was a pure cash-grab imo. I was about raging at that point.
Vudu can take it offline anytime (i.e. you paid for long term rental) but buying BR, you own the it outright.
For a quarter of the price, that's a risk I'm willing to take. The day that I lose all of the content I purchased on digital storefronts will be the day I move to the dark side and start obtaining my media back by alternative means.
