I came across these at my local Lowe's last week. They were in a special cardboard display most likely from the holidays. I was tempted to buy but the tape seemed really thin and flimsy. Reviews seem to indicate the tape doesn't hold up. Price is good but quality isnt great and no lifetime warranty. Might be better off with a cheap tape measure from HF. I've exchanged numerous broken HF tapes and they never question it.

My guess is no, as he didn't end his statement with a grunting 'bruh'.

I do work in the trades. Klein makes good hand tools for electrical but a lot of the newer stuff they've released to compete against rival Milwaukee that took their stomping ground at HD lacks the quality they once had.

No metric, no deal.

We need to start demanding metric on all tape measures.

So I bought this compact tape and maybe I just got bad luck the the finger stop sticks and prevents the tape from smoothly being retrieved. I understand this is kliens "cheap tape" but I had to make it a house tape after that. Can't be hand reeling my tape on the jobsite lol but other then my one nit pick it would be a ok tape.

Why? I don't think I've needed metric once when building something.

Metric is practically never encountered in electrical work, plumbing, hvac, carpentry, etc.

Kids today can't seem to add fractions if I call out 2 or 3 measurements down to them.

So if I've got to have it exact, I usually yell it down in mm.

Not a problem if I'm working alone.

The only thing I always build myself using metric is custom kitchen cabinets. Saves headaches because all the Baltic birch stock & drawer tracks are metric ( they are manufactured in Europe).

My tablesaw has a digital read out, and instantly switches to mm - big time saver

All the new Klein tool that I have looked at are Chinese manufacture. I don't buy any Klein tools that aren't US made.

Here here. Metric is so much more accurate. There is no guessing about or fractional math involved. You never find imperial units being used in science or the medical field.
4/8 2/41/2 really that's ridiculous.
Sorry Don's.
