There have not been many deals for a single roll of PLA sub $10 (I posted many of the filament deals here, so I'm aware of the previous deals). Sure, they pop up if you are buying multiple rolls, but many people don't want to buy 10KG in one shot.

Also, not all filament is created equal. After going through a few rolls of this one in the OP, I felt it was good enough filament where sub $11 is a good price for this filament. There was the Creality Soleyin filament from eBay sub $10 which I bought a chunk and I'm not thrilled with the way it prints... If I had a do over, I wouldn't have bought them. The CoPE filament that was sub $10 has given me nothing but headaches.. layering, adhesion etc. My point is, is it possible to find filament sub $10? Yes, they do pop up, but it doesn't mean it's filament you want to have in your collection.
Right, now read my second paragraph. Comgrow is not exactly eSun the same way eSun isn't exactly Bambu or Polymaker. Please spend a couple more seconds on Amazon and find me some eSun, Polymaker, Sunlu, Bambu or Elegoo at sub $10 for a 1kg spool of PLA. When you find it, you should post a new thread as well.
Correct. 2lbs is less than 1KG. That was my point. 1KG = 2.2lbs. So if you're getting less product I would hope you pay less money.

Good slickdeal price on PLA is $9-$10. This is not a very good price. It is pretty typical.

Honestly there hasn't been any great filament deals lately whether single rolls or bulk. The great filament deals of two years ago ($3-$5 rolls) haven't been seen in a long time.

I prefer sunlu over esun but I consider both to be mid tear decent filament.

Plenty of deals as I posted. Happen all of the time.
Plenty of $3-$5/roll deals? Please point me in the right direction.

That's less than 1KG of filament. I would hope it costs less than 1KG does.

I've been using budget filaments for about 7 years now (hundreds of rolls). I've also used more expensive filaments. Some people have issues with Bambu, eSun, Polymaker and Sunlu, some don't. Some may have issued with budget brands, some won't. They are basically all the same. Only issue I've ever had is with Elegoo, which I consider very good. They contacted me and offered to refund. I did not take them up on it as I dried the filament. Nice thing about Amazon... anything not perfect... simply return it.

I used to like eSun but stopped using it (unless there's a killer deal) becuz for whatever reason it snaps more than my other filament. I know this can be due to filament needing dried out but I can sit literally any filament out the same amount of time and come back and see eSun filament snapped and have to remove the from hotend and reinsert. Worse yet when it snaps inside the Bowen tubes, then I have to mess around getting it out of there.... That's just been my last experience with eSun

That's fair. Some people have better results with different filaments. I was basing it on the rolls I have and have used and what has printed best for me (I currently have 150+ rolls amongst various brands) . I've never had an issue with Elegoo which I would consider very good like you, and right after Polymaker and Bambu; Elegoo would be my next option if I was given the choice. The brands you listed of course can have issues, they just are less frequent than some of the budget brands. One brand I will likely never buy again regardless of price is Creality.

Perhaps the link took you to the 1KG listing. Change it to 2lbs and it's $10.
