People complain about the battery quality. Good price though. One seller has bunch of them for $40 on ebay, if you want to save $10

Yes, it's been this price for a while.

That said, this thing is awesome and amazingly versatile, I would buy it again unhesitatingly.

Just an FYI for all.

It hasn't been readily available for a long time.

I picked up last 2 in a large metropolitan area last year. It was very hard to get until recently.

Don't know why that thread expired. It was always available at that price.

I got two of these last week as we have had a lot of power outages due to the fires in the area. Really solid for $50. My store had 32 in stock when I went, might actually pick up a few more.

For some reason when I clicked on one of the links for this product, it showed as $19.88 with plenty in stock or free shipping for zip code 94104, but the add to cart button was greyed out. Honestly I'm not sure what happened but I repeatedly refreshed the page and tried searching in different browsers and then the add to cart button turned orange and I was able to order it for that price with free shipping. I don't know how it happened, but good luck.

I think I clicked the View Full Product Details button and that allowed me to add to cart.

You got it for $20 or $50?

I have the same experience. I always see this being sold for $50, but it's very much worth it. It enables me to do projects at night.

I bought these from Colma HD last weekend for 19.88 each. Not sure if it was specific to that store but it looks like they're clearing them out. Definitely worth the money at $20 a pop. Brighter and more features than my M12 Rocket light. The tripod does sit about 1 foot shorter than the M12 at full extension but since it mounts with a standard 1/4-20 bolt, any camera tripod will work if you need to have it sit higher. Or I just hang it from the ceiling with the attached hook.

I bought one from this previous deal. Used it and it's awesome. Lit up our ice rink at night pretty good. Went to buy another and price bounced up to $70 so I put it in the cart hoping it would drop again and now it has. Bought my second one 2 days ago.

I brought two of these a few weeks back mostly for mini garden floodlights for playing soccer and bball in the evenings. They are also useful for camping and in the garage, battery lasts as well.

We also lent them to our friend who was without power for a day.

How does the light output of this compare to a pair of standard halogens? I've been looking to upgrade from the halogens as they are basically space heaters that happen to put out some light.

Simply not true in all circumstances.
Positives for this:
Lightweight
Price
Multiple configurations

Advantages of a Milwaukee M18 tower light as an example.
Swappable batteries
Heavier duty construction
Brighter
Taller
Optional 120V AC input
