Thanks to Community Member sethchrist for finding this deal.

Available Options:
  • 512GB $439
  • 1TB $519
All Certified Refurbished Steam Decks include:
  • The same one year warranty as a new Steam Deck (unless longer as determined by your country of residence)
  • A refurbished power supply - fully tested (may have minor cosmetic marks)
  • Carrying case and Quick Start guide
Features:
  • Portability meets power. We partnered with AMD to create Steam Deck's custom APU, optimized for handheld gaming. It is a Zen 2 + RDNA 2 powerhouse, delivering more than enough performance to run the latest AAA games in a very efficient power envelope.
  • Your Steam Library, anywhere. Once you've logged into Steam Deck, your entire Steam Library shows up, just like any other PC. You'll also see the compatibility rating of each game, indicating the kind of experience you can expect when playing. You can dynamically filter any view in your library by compatibility rating if you're looking for specific sorts of experiences.
  • Control with comfort. The Steam Deck was built for extended play sessions—whether you're using thumbsticks or trackpads—with full-size controls positioned perfectly within your reach. The rear of the device is sculpted to comfortably fit a wide range of hand sizes.

Do it. Totally worth it. I've been enjoying the hell out of mine, mostly playing old gamecube games on it. 😅
SSD upgrade is super easy to do, I've got a 2TB in mine now plus another 1TB MicroSD.
About to swap the outer shell for a translucent purple to give it that dope retro gameboy color vibe.

U can save more money if you buy Steam cards from third party websites. I've done it before; e.g. $100 card for $80 or something.

Got the 512GB at this price a couple weeks ago. Great deal! I saw no visible defects or performance issues on my refurb.

I got my 512GB refurb in December at this price. I am so happy with it! Much happier than the LCD Steam Deck I had over a year ago and sold. All those minor improvements (and of course the screen quality) add up. Like 90hz which is a 50% improvement over the LCD and achievable in all my non-AAA games.

Being able to play most of my Steam library, I finally have a convenient way of playing all of those free games. I love my deck. If you haven't got one yet, now is the time.

Day 1 steam deck owner here and I absolutely love the device and play it as much as adulthood allows. Honest question - wouldn't the recent ROG Ally deal, especially the used variants in stock at BB, be more slick than this?

Love my deck. Get a 512 and then pop a 2tb harddrive in there. I got one for 130.00 at Microcenter. Crazy amounts of room if you end up using ES-DE for emulation.

If I didn't already have the steam deck I would personally hold off for the Legion Go 2. Great hardware and will run steam OS instead of windows. Windows is garbage right now for handheld gaming.

I love my Steam Deck OLED. I sold my LCD model when the OLED became available, picked up a 512GB model at release and installed a 2TB NVMe. I love it. The battery life improvements and significantly better thermals were worth it alone, and the screen is so beautiful. Great price if you're in the market for a PC gaming handheld.

The Steam Deck, even the OLED, isn't aging great when it comes to performance with demanding games, (Especially compared to rivals with Z1 Extreme and Z2 APUs) but it's a great device for catching up on a library of older games. It's also excellent for emulating old console games if you're more technically inclined. I've enjoyed running some old Xbox games on mine.

It's really what you want to do with it;
OLED SD: has the best battery life by far, but could be limited by Linux/SteamOS depending on what you want to play.
ROG Ally: If you want Windows with a bit better performance and you are always near an outlet (battery life is not great).

You can also stream from Xbox gamepass pretty easily as well.
