The perspective in their pic with no background might be misleading. It looks like it's about 5" x 7". A pic showing a guy holding it is attached. And below is a link to a video unboxing / review (The guy doesn't seem very technical so it's not an in-depth review of the features, but it's a decent overview.)

Although expensive, and i need at least 3 external ones + probably a homebase, (but refuse to pay for any subscription) I will one day probably buy 2K or greater Eufy cameras that match my doorbell. I'm sick and tired of needing to install a separate app for every single piece of hardware.

No, their cams have an SD card slot that can be used for local storage and access without a subscription.

If only it had thumbnail previews, Eufy spoiled me.

Also, people should note that wireless cams like this are good for catching brief activity like people coming and going on a porch and things like that, but if they're like their other similar models, they only record for like a minute when someone first walks up. Also, they're not extremely sensitive, so smaller animals may not trigger them unless they get very close. Here are a couple of notes about a different LaView system that uses what appears to be very similar wireless cams

I have a couple of the cheap TAPO (now $15) cameras that are recording all the time, you set sensitivity, set alerts, it'll payback what the alert corresponds to. You can set it for motion detection OR person detection and draw zones for it to watch or ignore. For a $15 camera it packs a punch. Also will put out an RTSP stream. Subscriptions are optional. I have never needed one. I keep it all in my LAN. I have the C100 but there are others more suitable for outside.

With their light bulb camera I was able to contact support and they sent me a firmware update that would help support RTSP. I wonder if that option is available for this.
Interesting. I have their lightbulb camera as well. Is the rstp firmware a link from their website? Can you please post it here, or PM me the firmware link of the lightbulb rtsp firmware?

Amazon might be acting flaky again. I tried the code again just now and it worked for me. However, it didn't show up on the summary immediately. I had to click between payment method and back to the shipping / review order section and it updated the total with $15 discount for the code promo (total came to just over $26 after tax)

I"m wondering if I can use this on another usb powered camera (wzye)
1- is the solar panel connector usb?
2- is the battery in the solar panel or on the camera?

C100 Tapo. Same one I put in the link. Just go into the settings and set up a local username for the device. Then, using VLC or whatever use a URL like (assumes device IP is 10.10.10.10):

rtsp://username:[email protected]/stream1

Actually, I'd appreciate that as well if you happen to have the link handy.

I don't have this model yet, but there was a review linked earlier that gives a rundown. The solar panel has a USB-C male connector on the end of the cable that plugs up to the female port on the cam. The battery is in the camera. It looks like the wireless cam itself is very similar to their other model that works with a base unit. The USB connection on solar panels is pretty common, so I suspect that they'd be interchangeable and work on other models as long as they're set up in a similar way with a battery-powered cam that just needs a charge via USB (but not if the cam is looking for a constant power source).
