unless there's a firmware update for this drive I would not recommend
- Marketing BS. It has absolutely no meaning.
- HMB is a feature most DRAM-less NVMe SSDs support (SATA drives cannot support it). DRAM is primarily used to store a copy of the FTL (aka the mapping table), which tracks where the data is physically stored in NAND. This is particularly beneficial for random I/O, which is the majority of what the average user is doing. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a write cache and has little effect on sequential writes. Ultimately, DRAM substantially increases random I/O speeds and slightly decreases wear.
Ideally, you'd have a 1000:1 NAND
This is the write cache. Whether it's advertised or not, virtually all modern consumer drives have this in one form or another. It allows MLC/TLC/QLC drives to hit those pretty write speeds they like to advertise. The size and implementation vary greatly. Some drives have a very small cache, possibly only a few GB in size. Others can potentially have a massive dynamic cache that uses up to all the free space (effectively 1/3 the capacity for TLC or 1/4 for QLC). Once the cache is full, the write speeds generally drop massively. Drives with the largest caches often drop much lower, as they now have to simultaneously take in more data and condense the contents of an already full drive. In some cases, sequential write speeds can drop below 100MB/s, or even 10MB/s. Better drives tend to be able to maintain closer to 1-2GB/s.
Just to repeat myself, there are no mainstream SLC or MLC SSDs left on the market, nor have there been for years. Everything is now TLC or QLC. Also, many companies frequently swap components, sometimes even changing a drive from TLC to QLC. Don't put too much faith in those popular databases/spreadsheets.
You can also ignore advertisements of "3D NAND." This too is now ubiquitous. The same goes for TRIM, SMART, garbage collection, ECC, and a few other things those bottom feeders tend to tout. I hope this helps.

the closest thing I could find was a reference to some sci-fi fantasy nonsense -- nothing relating to a NVME drive.

The drive looks pretty cool, I enjoyed The Mandalorian so I knew right away what I was looking at in the design. I am concerned at some of the reviews saying this drive died quickly, however.
Edit: promo code works on up to 3 drives.
