Just remember Costco Next has a different return policy compared to regular Costco online. Your are essentially buying it directly from the manufacturer with Costco discount. You cannot return in store and the return period is much shorter.

Hit "visit costco next" then click the ecoflow banner. It will ask for your member details, then you should be good to go.

an alternative is a Refurb Delta Pro on the Ebay Ecoflow store for $1360 with coupon - 3.6kwh. Extra batteries are ONLY usable with a COMPATIBLE Delta series main unit. i have experienced an incompatibility issue with an extra battery (not all "extra batteries" are compatible across the Delta2 Line). But largely very good experience with Ecoflow products and very good customer support. i would not buy THIS extra battery and assume it is compatible with anything other than the Delta 2 Max unless confirmed by Ecoflow.

I've been watching the price on CostNext and this is the best price. I was going to get this generator and battery with the 800W alternator charger for $1,999 which is a decent deal. But this is much better and I can get the Alternator later.

And EcoFlow also has worked hard to lockdown any potential workarounds to their compatibility restriction system, so I wouldn't count on these batteries working for anything other than the Delta 2 Max.

People had previously used the extra batteries with other EcoFlow units but the company realized they were doing this, so EcoFlow released firmware updates to block it.

$1400-ish for 4 kWh of batteries with numerous restrictions is not a good deal unfortunately

This is a very specific deal, but it's good for me because I have the Delta 2 Max. These batteries come out to $0.335 / Wh, which is nice. Wish EF didn't lock them down so much.

Delta 2 Max extra batteries also work with the Delta 2, albeit only one at a time

So these definitely won't work with delta 3?

Yes, I believe these would work with Delta 3. There is a sentence deep at this link that indicates as much:

"* EcoFlow DELTA 3 Series are compatible with Extra Battery of DELTA 3, DELTA Pro 3, DELTA 2 Max, DELTA 2."

https://www.ecoflow.com/us/delta-...er-station

It's strange that they bury that information in an obscure spot instead of making it prominent. Maybe check with EcoFlow to verify

Just came here to post the same link that I read. I hope this news immediately tanks their sales. If it doesn't, then companies like Bambu Labs and Ecoflow will continue the trend to enshitification and controlling our use of the products we purchased with subscription fees for features that do not create significant ongoing costs for the company and result in pure profit. Consumers need to stand up against this type of anti-consumer product management and vote with their wallets before their competitors do the same.

Eh, I think this compatibility limitation is mainly with the Delta 2 max, but the reason isn't exactly clear. The Delta 3 Plus supports the: Delta 2, Delta 3, Delta Pro 3, and this Delta 2 Max extra battery

As for this deal - yeah, not great... this and the other one with the D2 Max + Extra Battery I saw earlier around ~$1600 are a little too close to the $1999 Delta Pro 3 deal that was (perhaps still is) available recently... and that would be a way more capable unit.
