M3 makes more sense for the next Air, so that Apple can keep the 2 gen gap between the Air and the Pro which will likely be updated to M5

That has the front facing camera in the side instead of the top so that makes it a way better zoom meeting device than previous iPads with bottom facing speakers and top mounted front camera. That's currently what I got with my mini 5th gen. I'm waiting for mini prices to get cheaper or this generation air to get closer to 400$

I really want to test an air to confirm the dual monitor setup. Based on my testing, the 10th gen only mirrors to a larger monitor while I'm told the M devices (Air) actually do real dual-screen.

Not sure if dual monitor is a good enough reason to spend over $200 more (including accessory)

For reference, I have the 5th gen Air M1 and I've never noticed any lag at all. Seems like a good deal here but not much of an upgrade from 5th gen from what I've read.
