Yes, I believe you can preload to 5 years of subscription.
My experience - I welcome comments if there are other more efficient ways to do this when switching M365 subscription providers.
I had a M365 through Amazon. During the subscription term I purchased one from Dell and retained the redemption in my Dell digital locker purchase records. I disabled the auto-renewal and waited for the Amazon managed subscription to expire. On the day the Amazon one expired, I activated my Dell based subscription. I used Amex Biz Plat Dell credits to purchase.
And before anyone says you can get a $19 license - yes that's true but that doesn't include a OneDrive subscription. I find OneDrive through M365 reasonably priced - especially the family edition where each person gets their own 1TB.

are they charging tax on a digital code now? (California)
They charged me tax, was correct for my area, but I think they are treating as a physical purchase

I too am curious. Managed is almost automatically a deal breaker for me.
It's still a M365 subscription, you're just buying it through Amazon and it will say subscription is managed by Amazon meaning you cannot renew through your M365 account. Not clear on how that would be a "deal breaker". If you bought it from Dell it's the same. Over the last 3 or 4 years I've gone from Microsoft stand alone (purchased through Costco) to Amazon to Dell without interruption other than having to active that provider's subscription. Each purchase was discounted from the list price.

Could you please be so kind and explain to me how that works? Right now I have office 365 through godaddy for my business. It's way more than this... can I stack this on top of that and if so.. what or how do I do it? Thank you
Assuming this purchase from BuyDig are Microsoft codes, then you'll probably have to let your GoDaddy subscription expire and activate or redeem the code in your Microsoft account like a new subscription.

Activating my Amazon subscription "ate" my Office-365 direct subscription last year, losing 5 months off. The nightmare of fixing that issue through support would not have been worth the time - would probably have taken several hours.

Do NOT do managed subscriptions, my advice.

Stock up folks! List price just increased by ALOT ($129.99/yr). You can stack these in your account for multiple years of guaranteed low prices.
This seems like an amazing deal, but I'm already subscribed for some time. If I save this, it might not work later, right?

Quote from Somnambulator :
In the past, Microsoft subscriptions overwrote the current subscription. If you have family and purchase personal, it extends your duration by the full amount (15 months here) but converts your entire subscription to personal. It also always worked in reverse. I always would purchase personal subscriptions plus 1 family, activate all personals first, and the family last so it converts the entire thing to family for the full amount of each term combined.

This used to work for GamePass tiers, but no longer. I am curious if MS has killed this capability in Office, too.
Wait, so if I have family, and buy personal it converts it to personal. Then I have to convert it back to family?

It gives me 1:1 month conversion?

When I try to redeem a 15month personal code on my family plan it tries to move me to a personal plan. I thought I can add personal code to a family plan and it will just convert to less time.
Any idea what I can do?

What happened when you tried to add the Personal code to the family account?
When did that happen? I just did it last week the day after they made the Copilot announcement. That sucks I still have 2 old personal codes.

Updated: I just tried an old 12-month personal code I bought last year and it applied to my family and added 9 months to it. I'm not sure if newer personal codes will have an issue.

Per an old thread in '21
"Bought two for myself and I was able to stack them without a problem. It's just kind of silly that they shipped two pieces of printed out codes on plain ol' paper placed in a 6X6" box with bubble wrap."
When I go to add the personal key, it says this:

You currently have Microsoft 365 Family, but the product key you entered is for Microsoft 365 Personal. You'll need to wait for your current subscription to end before you can switch to Microsoft 365 Personal

Please hang onto your product key and turn off recurring billing on your Microsoft account dashboard, then wait until your current subscription ends on November 9, 2023.

If you'd like to switch your subscription immediately, contact support.

The November 9. 2023 date in their message is strange. My subscription is good until August 2027

Anyone else had luck actually buying the personal version from this deal and converting it to the 9 months toward their family membership? I don't want to wait 2 years for my family subscription to end to finally get to use a code for personal-only use.
