I find it funny you criticize someone for saying general consensus and then assume what most people want...

The general consensus of these compared to the RP600M II seems to be they are more linear but have less bass extension and lower total output. So if you are planning to use a subwoofer and don't need the extra output (smaller listening space, desktop/nearfield use, etc ) then these would be the way to go over the 600's.

Epic deal on some fantastic speakers. These are supposed to be better than the larger RP-600m II.

I'm a total speaker dork and I've always heard the opposite.

Having never heard these, if people are saying they are better than the 600s, I'd like to read these reviews.

Thank you, in advance.

Pretty sure Erin says it in his video review found in the link but it's been a while since I watched it.

There is no such thing as a "general consensus". These have been measured. Their frequency response is literally the opposite of what most people would want. Dogs might appreciate the piercing highs.

A consensus is a sense of "we all agree on this". I suppose there could be a general consensus that the earth is flat, but that doesn't have anything to do with reality. I'm not talking about what people want. I'm talking about what is.
Oh I don't disagree with you using facts but you literally stated your own opinion at the same time.

Anyone purchasing passive speakers like this is more than capable of using basic EQ. Once you tame the treble these are fantastic for the money. It's not really up for debate.

I don't get it. They are getting measured, but people are drawing different conclusions than you. Here is an example:
