this is a pretty good unit. The net radio, and wifi streaming stuff on it is great. Might not be the most powerful, and a dedicated amp like the A-501 or 810 would be a slight nudge cleaner or more powerful, but the DAC on this is really really nice. I got mine as recertified for 549 and it looked new. This line is a step up from the lower end 300.00 models in sound quality of the amp. I do a lot of streaming and the DAC / connectivity was the deciding factor for me, and the ability to get a recertified unit for 549.

This is a great receiver at this price if you want an all in one amp, DAC, phono preamp, and streamer. Yamaha's have really good flat sound that will work with almost any speakers.

Having a sub out is really nice for dialing in your crossover for your room.

Glad to hear from real people that these units are good. The reviews look great too. I'd love to upgrade my setup but tend not to buy new on these kinds of things. Where'd you find the recertified unit?

I love that the 70's audio component style is coming back recently.

Is this better or worse than the recent Yamaha RX-A2A deal from Adorama. Basic requirements, not audiophile/pro-level.

Do you happen to know crossover frequency for sub out

According to the specs it is full range, so you set the crossover in the sub.

Accessories4less. Just realized this is the unit up from mine which makes this one a really good deal.
I like the display on mine though which is the 600a.

Theres no crossover on the sub out that I know of. It's preamp and your sub should be powered and have a crossover built in.

If this unit doesn't let you set crossover in the receiver you can set it on the sub but your speakers will remain full range. I set my sub to 80Hz. I was thinking this one would let you set it at the receiver level but I was mistaken.
