12700H, basically a 7840u with a trash iGPU and trash battery life. Microcenter had 7840u with same spec HP laptops for $450 for quite a long time before 2025. Maybe wait for some Lunar lake for this price.

Can the screen be flipped like 2-in-1 books such as tpx13 yoga or hp dragonfly?

I am using this laptop for more than 2 years.
Keyboard and the screen are great.
However, as soon as you push it a little bit, it makes fan noise like a water faucet running. If you don't mind that noise, it is fine for the money.

I got one locally open box for 390 last night before this was posted. Nice screen didn't know it was 120hz. Gonna use it for gaming streaming from my gaming pc or use a gpu with a thubderbolt dock I purchase with it. Has 1 slot ram i believe that is upgradable I think

No, this is a standard setup. I've owned it for over 2 years. Asus tech support is akin to relying on a drunken hobo for help. Thermal throttling on this, reconciled to the ability it can be by living on a dock and thermal paste swap just out of warranty. Initially had intermittent issues, bitlocker reboots and shut downs, but it has been well over 6 months since the last issue. Have used it at least 8 hours a day, 6 days a week for over 2 years. Would I pay $460 for a "refurb" when I bought the same unit new 25 months ago for 600…no but that is a price comparison against the prior purchase, not a current comparison against its value within the market. Screen is very nice although I personally never use it, and since it lives on a dock, the battery life has not been tested. In my use, it was basically a portable desktop with a battery backup for power outage.

Added 32gb Ram stick so have been running 40GB since day 1 (16 dual channel apparently).

It's not a touchscreen so why would you want to do that?

This laptop has a so-dimm slot which is very rare in a laptop of this size. Quite tempting actually.

I don't think the newer models have a so-dimm slot.
