How would you know what dog food tastes like?
Clearly just a pure hater... Panda obviously isn't luxury food, but when it comes to fast food places, it's one of the best quality taste... It's even better than some "real" restaurants. The only issue with Panda is their portions really suck, especially if you order beef and broccoli, you get like 2 pieces of meat if you're lucky.
That's a you problem, it seems. Maybe too much dog food ruined your taste bud.

So one must pay for a regular plate and purchase anything to upgrade to a bigger plate?
Ex: Regular plate in my area is valued at $10. Bigger plate is valued at $11.50. If I chose an item for any purchase, I would probably get an apple pie roll $2.00.
So essentially, one is saving $1.50 on a possible $12 purchase.
Can someone check me on this?

That's correct.

You are saving $1.50.

Buy a bigger plate and your price will drop to regular plate price.

Why is this even on SD? This is literally a reward that's available in the app quite frequently.

Is it a reward or deal?
Last I checked a reward is something given to the account holder of the app for free through redemption of rewards points or without any purchase upfront.
Offers require one to buy something.

If this fits the latter, then it is an "offer" synonymous with "deal."

If this is a deal....unless SD is San Diego, it belongs here.

I just recently did their offer of 'free small entree with any purchase'. This small entree is the same 'size' as when you go from reg to a bigger plate. I swear, the size of their 'small entree' carton has gotten smaller! Like noticeably! But it was still a SD for me because for $2+tax, I got that small entree & 2 veggie eggrolls.

I think Panda Express got accused of reducing sizes in 2024, which they denied. But for their bowl, for sure it decreased in size in the past, because I used to keep their bowl to use for other stuff at home. One day I noticed the old lids didn't fit the new bowls (lid too big), and saw the new bowls were smaller! Both those bowls were round. Then they changed to square bowls so you couldn't do a direct comparison anymore, lol!

When I order meals instore and they are filling my plate, sometimes the portions are so small I actually say something -- then they add an additional small bit. But if I order online/app, I can only take what they give.
