I played it on ps4 then stopped, mainly bored of the ps4 since getting a pc. Loved the first one; one of a very few games I've completed 100%

Probably going to pick this up to finally experience ray tracing.

I liked the first one, but gave up on this one pretty quickly. I forget all the little things that annoyed me about it, but one of the big ones was they added a stamina bar for climbing. You also could only stay out at night for a certain amount of time before having to find some UV lights or it'd be game over. My memory's a little hazy on this point, so don't quote me on this, but I want to say that the monster AI was both really aggressive, following you into settlements, but cheap in that it could find you even if you were concealed in some tall grass or something that the training missions says is how you avoid them. I also seem to remember they would follow you for a ridiculous amount of time before giving up.

My overall memory of this game is that they threw out everything that was good about the first game and replaced it with all the annoying mechanics from other similar games. From what I've heard, the people behind the first game were all fired and replaced for the second one, so aside from some broad similarities, they're completely different games, which may well explain it.
