Here's the player count for the games according to Steam at least in the last 24 hours:

5 - 16,986
1 - 12,090
4 - 1,565
3 - 188
Hardline - 34 (lol)
Though not on sale, 2042 is just 8,137.

Often flies under the radar because it was sold as more of a multiplayer game, but the BF1 single player campaigns are pretty good. Worth the $2 just for that.

Unfortunately, they don't make them like they use to.

Anyone recently try these on the Steam Deck? I'm getting mixed info on whether they'd run (sounds like it did at one point but some anti-cheat broke things). Mainly interested in playing through BF1 single player (and any others if they're worth it).

Man, I used to spend hours and hours on BF3 on my PS3. Hopped on a couple years later and it was largely just people sniping on Metro map lol.

I'm trying to figure out the same. Seeing a bunch of recent complaints at EA's new anticheat broke things but I only care about single player. Depending on how implemented it could have bricked everything though.

Personally I want to play 1, V, and Hardline.

Me too. Hundreds of hours logged on PS3 BF3. If you never played 4 then its worth some time. It's basically 3 refined and improved.
Though I'd critique that 3s maps were better designed. 4 was good but 3 was excellent in that regard.

Is the campaign on BF4 worth playing? (Is there even a campaign?)

I'm still addicted to BF4. There are a few popular servers still up and running and it's not uncommon to have 64 players on one server during the weekend. Never touched BF V, now I see the players count, maybe I should spend the $2.50.

When in the actual bleep are they going to make another Bad Company game? More chaos and more humor and more chances for you and your friends to screw up would be such a fun departure from the overly serious tone this franchise has stuck to. It's like it's had over a decade of arrested development and keeps trying to pander to 14 year olds that are trying to be cool.

Started out strong, but some lack of instructions and a few unreasonably hard tasks (like one tank vs four or five) just threw me off, and I did not finish the campaign. The online portion was enjoyable, unfortunately the player base was not there any more.

I've lost interest in shooter games maybe because my reaction time sucks lol. Loved halo. Call of duty then switched to battle field because the destructive environments were nice change. Never really got into the Fortnite or call of duty war zone multi players in recent years . No new BF games have been released in 3 plus years. Surprising

Yes, and yes. Granted I haven't played it in years. I enjoyed it, though.

Recently started playing 1 again (after not playing since 2018, when V came out). Looks and feels exactly how it did in 2016, which is good.

I'd say, the people complaining about EA's implementation of anticheat are the cheaters themselves lol no complaints on my end.

Haven't played V in a while. Good game, but cheaters really did kill the fun when they decided to deploy their cheats. Imagine LMG's with auto aim -- instant headshots, and basically unlimited ammo. And wall hacks galore. It's the reason why I never bought 2042.
