1,000 points are worth about $8. (a $200 per night hotel is about 25,000 points)

As a lifetime gold at Marriott, I can tell you the bonus qualifying night to reach gold staus is almost worthless. Platiunum is requried (50 nights per year) to get lounge access or breakfast.

Hilton and Hyatt are running double points right now.

Looks like you're ok. Per the T&Cs you just have to register before you stay. It doesn't say you have to also book after registering:

Doesn't start until Feb 11. I thought the same as I have a weeklong stay starting Friday but that's before the offer window.

They did this sameish promo last year. If you really care about status you can find some rando hotels in the middle of nowhere (Dakotas) and book a ghost stay just to capture nights and points.

I am Titanium this year but lifetime Platinum; they don't offer lifetime Titanium any more. I would have made ambassador but didn't spend enough ($23,000) despite having more than enough nights.

I'm a titanium for life… It depends on when you got the status… if you got it before they changed the requirement then you remain a titanium for life…

I just registered for the promo and previously booked a 2 night stay within the qualifying period (first weekend in March). It was booked directly via the Bonvoy app but is part of a group room block (for a family wedding). Will I still qualify for the bonus points and nights?
