My kids have dropped these down stairs, knocked off their desks nightly and one was run over and survived. No cracks, no paint chips. People who spend $50 on these because it says Stanley on it are absolute idiots.

Another plus for these is the straw!
It is made from two parts. The bottom is rigid, and the top section is silicone. More comfortable in general than a hard straw. it's the best for driving and not getting some owie when you go to drink without taking your focus off of the road.

I've had one of these for a year and it's awesome. Rugged, easy to clean, and it's so inexpensive that if I lost it I wouldn't be too upset.

Is it just me, or are the OT cups not made as well as they used to be?

I have one of these and the clip that holds the two parts of the lid together snapped off the very first time it was put in the dishwasher.

Saw these in store and they seemed fairly light compared to the competition. I understand it's $10 vs. $30+ but just in case people wanted to know.

I have a lot of Ozark Trail tumblers over the years, the newer ones (with internal detachable straws) are the only problematic issues I've faced. The straw is just too fragile and easily slips out of the slot. Have to open the lid, reattach the straw, and then hope it stays in place.

The other big plus I forgot to mention is that you can use this one left or right-handed. Even though there is only one hole in the lid, it can be screwed on so that lefties can have it their way!

My local Walmart had the BEIGE HOLIDAY design in the discount section for 7$ the other day so I picked one up. I originally was kind of annoyed that the straw was in two pieces, one normal rigid plastic that goes the full length of the tumbler, the other a flexible silicon material. However after using it the last few days I strongly prefer this because there are shelves/cubbies that I put this down in that would require me to tip before placing it down like my wife's Stanley but because the top part is flexible I can pull it straight out without tipping it which is really nice.

You are correct. I've been using one at home recently, and it's a quality product. Keeps drinks cold the same as other bigger brands I have and its material is also very sturdy as you mentioned.
