I have a similar set that's USB rechargable and came with 4nimh AAA batteries inside, but it grinds too slowly. Is this going to be better because it runs off 6 AAAs vs 4?

These take 6 batteries each? That makes them a hard pass for me.

At least one of the varieties seems to, but the Q&A is mixed together for a bunch of different varieties, so who knows?

I have a set of these. The grinding function works very well but they are designed poorly. They're top-heavy and fall over easily and when they fall over, they begin to grind. Also, salt gets into the battery area and oxidizes the connections.

I can attest that my set takes six AAA batteries. Have we just stopped using AA's?

Yes it takes 6 according to one of the photos. Wish it was rechargeable. But that version cost $30

Not to beat a dead horse, but everybody's already commented that this thing needs tons of batteries and let me tell you in humid weather with salt and these type of products. The batteries explode within 3 to 6 months… rendering this thing useless. Bad Deal.

I had a set of the original 6 oz show in the images. We threw them out, way too slow on the pepper grind. The cheap grinder pepper comes in from costs is 100x better.
